One from a recent holiday where the streets of a small town were home to many of these incredible summer migrants.

The people living there protect the nests but otherwise go about their daily business as if every town has such beautiful and helpful visitors. After all, looking after the birds, keeps the flies down.

La Butte-aux-Cailles is today a mecca of street art. Its "village in the city" atmosphere, with its cobbled streets and walls conducive to artistic expression, has attracted many urban artists since the 1980s. Figures like Miss.Tic, Invader or Seth have left their mark on it, contributing to making it an iconic place.

La Butte aux Cailles takes its name from Pierre Caille, who acquired it in 1543. There were mills on the heights and tanneries, dyeing factories, laundries lower down, along the Bièvre. The neighborhood was once unsanitary but since then the Bièvre has been channeled and buried to become part of Paris.

The neighborhood also has a militant history inherited notably from the Paris Commune in 1871, during which the neighborhood was a stronghold of insurgents.

Associations like Lézarts de la Bièvre play an important role in protecting certain works, by signaling them to avoid their erasure. The works are often ephemeral and are replaced after a few weeks or months. Thanks to this dynamic, street art is partially tolerated, although it remains technically prohibited. This mix of history, creativity and tolerance also attracts tourists and enthusiasts, making the Butte-aux-Cailles a real open-air museum, in perpetual evolution

Under normal circumstances, these two birds would not hang out together. Competition is fierce out there! This is the first time ever that I've seen them come so close to one another. But, Suet is a huge treat for these birds and they seem to be tolerating each other.

If they can live in peace despite their differences...Why can't we ?

Tolerance is usually exercised to extraordinary degrees where the street cats are concerned. Here one is comfortably asleep on a restaurant table with the staff smiling on without concern. Manila, Philippines

Finding it awkward to keep one's foot out of shot at 10mm while sitting on the reservoir slope trying not to get wet i decieded to include my zero tolerance boot.

Had this pair of Nash zero tolerance thermal fishing boots for about 7 years. Built to last i found out to my despair last year that they dont make them anymore :-( Best boots i have ever owned and walked miles and miles through Norfolk mud and ice in them. Bring them back Kevin Nash!!

Was a lovely sunrise :-)

An old third-pint milk bottle.

These used to be given to all schoolchildren in the UK at the start of each school day. I think that continued into the 1980s. This bottle is probably from the 1960s.

From the "Mirador del Valle" we have one of the best views of the city of Toledo. The city, that was capital of the Kingdom of Spain in the past, is still today one of the most fascinating cities in the country. Among its many sights we find Visigoth, Jews, Muslims and of course Christians remains. The influence of all these people has shaped the city, and shows how the union of cultures and religions can lead to wonderful results.

I visited Toledo for the first time six years ago; it was my first trip with a DSLR camera and I did not know much about photography. I had only clear that there was so much to learn. Going back to the city has allowed me to look at it with different eyes, with more tranquility and enjoying every detail without having to photograph everything. The only photograph I wanted this time was clear in my head, and once again I can be satisfied that I got it.

Tolerance, not discrimination. Fairness, not hypocrisy. Substance, not superficiality. Character, not immaturity. Transparency, not secrecy. Justice, not lawlessness. Environmental improvement and preservation, not destruction. Truth, not lies :-)

From reckless corporate consolidation of the media industry, the Presidential persecution of whistle blowers to the targeting of independent wartime journalists by our military, our system has completely failed us. The continuous stream of sensationalism feeds our addiction to drama, hyperstimulating the senses with fear and novelty. The war drums beat to the tune of our racing hearts – which rage with fury over manipulated messages driven by those in power.

Personally, my advise would be to shut off the TVs – which drive us away from the essence of a meaningful existence. Ignore all mainstream messages – they are rooted in profit. Focus our thoughts and hearts to kindness, forgiveness and tolerance. The Fourth Estate will burn on its own.

One of the primary new techniques (for me) used in this build was the implementation of Lego nets (71155) for sculpting. By backing each net with smaller plates – set apart by 1 stud – and then using 1x1 round plate pips on the front side (sandwiching the net in between), I had a flexible scrim which I could then build off of. This allowed for the undulating forms in the explosion area.

about which I totally agree, there is enough room in this world for all of us, it requires love, tolerance, equality, the ability to share, care and embrace our differences. We must not let fear overtake our sanity and intelligence.

lyrics

There's something different in the world today

Looking for the words but I can't explain

I feel the worst is drawing near, feeding on our fear

Another cry from a broken home

Another soul that will walk alone

I said just one more life that will be swept away

And this is the price we pay

[Chorus:]

From the hills of California to the streets of Berlin

To the clubs in London town

Tell me where have our souls have gone

And where can they be found

All the way to Venezuela down to Sao Paulo

Then back up to Montreal

Tell me where have our souls gone

And where they can be found... Ey!

Picked up the paper and I read this morning

Another twenty people dead no warning

Bombs go off and ignite the hate globally

It perpetuates the air is thick and the skies are burning

As the war machine keeps on turning

Just one more life that will be swept away

And this is the price we pay

[Chorus:]

(Waoooh)

(Ooooh, Ooohoooh)

We drop a rhythm so we feel alright

Open our minds so we let in the light

I wanna feel love I wanna feel love I want to feel it tonight

We keep it moving so we don't get lost

Release the pressure so our our hearts don't pop

Keep looking forward to a brand new day

Where we don't have to say

[Chorus:]

(Won't you tell me, won't you tell me this time

I want to knooow)
