Os hoodoos são formados pela erosão das várias camadas de diferentes rochas, onde as mais de baixo acabam sendo protegidas pelas de cima. Leva entre 40 e 60 milhões de anos para formar um desses.

Toadstools growing outside the Ouse Street entrance to the Victoria Tunnel in Newcastle. They appeared from the mud shovelled out of the tunnel after the storm drains under the city centre overflowed into it on "Thunder Thursday" in June 2012.

Just outside the church yard were these decorative-but-uncomfortable toadstools.

I'm not great on fungi identification, so any suggestions gratefully received..
