Toadstools growing outside the Ouse Street entrance to the Victoria Tunnel in Newcastle. They appeared from the mud shovelled out of the tunnel after the storm drains under the city centre overflowed into it on "Thunder Thursday" in June 2012.

This toadstool is my offering for the "Circles" Theme of the Week group. For composition purposes, I have chosen to show a segment of a circle with emphasis on the many radiating fins.
Big toadstool, could be a mushroom, 150mm or 6" tall.
I'm not great on fungi identification, so any suggestions gratefully received..
I didn't have to walk far tonight as these were in my next door neighbor's front yard, about two feet from the street. We have had some cloudy, windy, and rainy days of late, sprinkled with a little sunshine, then back into the cycle of wind, clouds, and rainshowers. Tonight's walk proved a great time as the wind was manageable, the sun was setting in an almost cloudless sky.

I took this photo at night hoping just the flash of my camera would illuminate it. These toadstools seem to pop up overnight in between mowing our lawn.
