I'm really struggling with macro photography. Too much camera shake, hard to AF, shallow dof...I know buying a tripod will help with shake and dof but, apart from that, any other tips? Or maybe a link to a helpful website?

Toadstool bollard. Focus is on the bollard with a wide aperture. I tried to improve the composition by cropping a portrait oriented shot to a landscape orientation.
I am following a basic course on photography at the Centrum voor de Kunsten Eindhoven (CKE). This set is from a practical session we had in Antwerp applying techniques we had learned about exposure, depth of field and the principles of composition.
Havent a clue what these are other than Toadstools or Fugi !

This is the toadstool I made for the swap hosted by Lucykate crafts. This will be living with Jennifer in the UK. I hope she likes it, I had fun making it. It does take some coaxing to stand on it's own.
