Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument, Utah

During a fairly heavy down pour on the first day, I sheltered in some trees on the loser slopes of Dent fell. I was pleasantly surprised to discover a number of clusters of toadstools.

This is a toadstool I embroidered from a transfer by Dover Publications.

Since the hurricane and all the rain and then warm days, mushrooms are popping up everywhere - this one was in the crack of a sidewalk, under a park bench.
