these little toadstools just appeared one day almost as if they thought the terrariums looked like a nice place to live. they're so wee and cute...i also loved the way the condensation was sitting on the glass...yup, random.
handmade from felted, repurposed wool sweaters. this soft toadstool stands about 4 1/4" tall and is 4" wide. it is lovingly sewn by both hand and machine and stuffed firm with 100% sheeps wool, and weighted with dried beans.
perfect for a woodland display, nature table or gentle play.
I really loved taking this shot. it was the last of the light on a blustery day and high up were these little beauty's

Miniature needle felt toadstool, 4 ½ inches tall.

For this expression of the "Toadstools" I first thought of doing a pencil sketch and then selective coloration. As it turned out there were just too many lines. It came out looking like a very detailed road map.
I then decided to keep the pencil sketch for the Toadstools and foreground but reduce its opacity by about 50%. Next, the background was a bit too sharp so I applied On One's software application Focalpoint to dampen the background's impact.
