My daughters 4th birthday cake.

Debbie Brown style toadstool.

Decoration inspired by many fairy cakes here on flickr, one of my daughters fairy books, and even a little bit of me!

I had a LOT of fun with this cake, I also had a lot of headaches!

My daughter loved it, as did all the little fairies at her fairy party!

Made it to Explore #39, 31-5-10! Yay! First Explore.

Toadstool Geologic Park in far western Nebraska.

Taken at Wakehurst Place last autumn, a lovely patch of rather nasty looking toadstools!

I love the magic of childhood that these toadstools remind me of. Lay flat on my belly in prickly undergrowth to take this in Sutton Park yesterday

Get it??

December 2nd and we still have frogs and toads about outside. Unseasonable so far!!

This is yet another place of erosion miracles. It is between Page and Kanab and is referred to as the Paria Toadstools. Easy, short hike and a beautiful sky that day.

Yes, this is really what it looks like.

nuthatch on toadstool

Toadstool Geologic Park, Nebraska. Located in northwestern Nebraska, rarely visited by any landscape photographers, it contains badlands landscape and has some interesting rock formations.

In the future, cameras' dynamic range should approach that of the human eyes and still look natural. In the meantime, I'm experimenting with blending multiple exposures. This one is a composite of two photos, one for the sky and the other for the ground.

Had to lie down on some plastic this morning in the park! Not 100% sure whether these are mushrooms or toadstools but I won't be making an omelette with them, just in case...!

E found a few of these growing in the lawn today - I wish I knew more about them as I have to go for the don't touch it might be poisonous line just in case.

She's been a star today - she's been to both of her nurseries and didn't cry at either. She had lots of fun at the one she's been to before and has made some new friends. She's got a full session at the new one tomorrow so we'll have to be up and out early, that is if she ever decides to go to sleep.

Toadstools Formations, UT

These formations are easily accessible. Just a short 1/2 mile hike off of US Hwy 89, between Page, AZ & Kanab, UT. I hit these on one of my many trips to the area in 2019.

There are a number of photography oportunities here. I hit the area around mid morning. The light was pretty good. the "theater" of where these rocks sit are all south facing/exposed, so I think any part of morning or later afternoon would allow proper light to shoot most of the formations.

Once again I am block in by the pond after what seems like months of rains.

I walk around the yard trying to find something, anything but everything seem so boring and mundane all that caught my eyes was this fungus, is it edible or poisonous?

Toadstools pop up wherever they take a mind to.

A submission to Sliders Sunday, where over-processing is encouraged. Some toadstools in Manly Dam.

Ran across a big ring of giant toadstools this morning. Lots of rain the next couple of days, guess the fungi will like the wet weather. Our beautiful world, pass it on.

- www.kevin-palmer.com - It wasn't the most colorful sunset at Toadstool Geological Area, but it wasn't the worst either.

Southern Utah, an area known for it's Toadstools

Lots of rain has produced toadstools in many parts of the Manly Dam bushland.
