For one war veteran the event was just too tiring. Veterans Day at Carlisle Airport, 5th July, 2009.
Shooting into the sun so needed to do a bit of work to make the image pleasant enough to look at. Taken from behind the garage at the top of Salcombe looking out of some fields. Two more pictures to upload i think.

Electricity poles in the East Sahara of Egypt have spare tires hanging from them in case of getting a flat tire.
Apparently, the city of Detroit paid a company to recycle old tires. They didn't bother. They took the money and this is what they did with them.
I prefer the unmarked lever on the right, partly because the thinner edge makes it easier to get it under a tight tire bead.
The Co-Op is getting ready for winter. I'm helping get snow tires on a bunch of cars.
