A short reflection at the end of a long day.

Well its the summer holidays so trying to juggle a gazillion things at the minute. My apologies as it has meant I have had little time for Flickr and commenting. I did manage to sneak out for a few hours at the weekend to photography this amazing staircase. I have three weeks off in August so should have a bit more time then to get round to you all.

Hope you are having a great week! :-)

The spiral staircase built by Giuseppe Momo is called the Momo Staircase or the Snail Staircase. It is made out of two wrought iron stairways, with one going up and one going down. It is formatted in the curve of a double helix, which wasn’t Momo’s original intention. It just so happened that years later, the helix would become a recognisable symbol of life.

Happy Children roll an old tire down main street in Lhasa Tibet... Sometimes Simple Pleasures are best.

It’s been 13 years since I came upon these playful children in Lhasa, and yet this photo still warms my heart. I found the Tibetans to be a friendly and helpful people, as are most of the folks I have met on my journeys.
