I tried for ages to get a decent shot of the orange-tip butterflies that were holding territories in the garden! Up close wasn't working at all, so instead I held back and used the 100-400 zoom. Even so, this was one of only two half-decent shots, and it's cropped to the max!

Jama.- Vicepresidente Otto Sonnenholzner se dirigió al Centro de Salud Tipo C “24 horas” en Jama. Aquí se dotó al personal sanitario de equipos de protección y en los próximos días se entregarán pruebas rápidas. El director Roberto Cuellar explicó que en este centro se ha destinado un área para pacientes con el virus y de esta forma evitar el congestionamiento en hospitales. “En la sala tendremos seis camas para adultos, cuatro para niños y una para reanimación. No hemos parado la atención y hemos realizado una reestructuración de las especialidades médicas que se ofertan”, declaró.
Sobre el tema, Sonnenholzner manifestó que esta iniciativa conjunta entre el Gobierno Nacional y local es una noticia positiva, “tenemos capacidad intermedia de atención al coronavirus y la estamos reforzando con los implementos de bioseguridad. Esto permitirá al alcalde, tomar la decisión para cambio de semáforo y pensar en la reactivación de las actividades con prudencia”.
En este cantón, también visitó el plan habitacional Jama Centro, donde 129 familias accedieron a raciones alimenticias. Brigadas del MIES recorrieron la zona para realizar un mapeo de posibles beneficiarios del Bono de Desarrollo Humano. “Esto se realiza en todo Ecuador, ya hemos entregado más de dos millones de kits”, indicó la segunda autoridad del Ejecutivo.
Además, hubo atención de salud en domicilios. Entre enero y abril, 2.018 pacientes recibieron visitas domiciliarias en Jama y Pedernales por parte de la estrategia Médico del Barrio.
