This black tip shark was caught on a hook that already had a smaller sharpnose shark on it (notice the small shark in its mouth). This clearly shows that sharks will often prey on other sharks. Sharks of this size are very strong and require focus, strength, and cooperation to safely handle on deck.

Tipping over the summit and down into the town of Tehachapi the Northbound Coast Starlight slows for its journey down the 2.2% grade into California's San Joaquin Valley. Bridge work at the coast has forced Amtrak to detour over the valley and by March 2011 this had become almost a yearly thing.
This male is looking a little worn around the edges. There's a wealth of symbolism attached to butterflies and I'm often taken by just how short their lives are in this stage of the life cycle. Makes you think, well is does me. Again I was thinking to myself how good this would have been if the O-tip had been "perfect" - I wonder where the imperfection lies.

Isla de Paquetá (en portugués: Ilha de Paquetá) es una isla en la bahÃa de Guanabara, RÃo de Janeiro, Brasil. El nombre de la isla es una palabra tupà que significa "muchas pacas". La isla es una zona libre de automóviles, por lo que los viajes se limitan al uso de las bicicletas y coches tirados por caballos. Paquetá tiene veinte "baobabs", un tipo de árbol africano - los únicos en Brasil junto con la Baobabs en el Paseo Público de Fortaleza. Uno de ellos se llama "MarÃa Gorda", que los residentes besan "buscando suerte".
Fue registrada oficialmente por el francés André Thevet en diciembre de 1555, y reconocida por el rey Enrique II como un descubrimiento de Francia en 1556.
