The sun was back and as there weren't any of the rarer butterflies out yet to my knowledge in areas I can reach easily, I decided to go and look for orange tips again. I saw very large numbers of them, but very few stopped at all and I am delighted to have photographed the two I did.
Apart from orange tips I saw a few peacocks and green-veined whites and a single speckled wood for certain. There were also a lot of unidentified whitish butterflies.

The bridge was tipping over and I literally had milli-seconds to snap away with my water-proof camera so my flickr buddies could see the last few seconds of this mishap... See how brave and considerate I am...
nah I'm just kidding. It's still there... the bridge I mean...
But you know what's cool, see if you can find my little portable GPS device in this foto? ;)
This was sitting out by our hotel's parking lot. Lots of possessives and quotes being thrown around on there. I'm glad the tip's weren't "voluntary".
Our tip jar at Transformation Pet Center, Tucson, AZ, with Bubba the shop cat (R.I.P.). A visible jar helps customers "see" that tipping is appropriate.
Tiny little insect (or other other kind of invertebrate) which (I'm guessing) fashioned a little cocoon for itself out of its silk and bits of vegetable matter. Can anyone confirm/deny and or tell me more about this creature? I saw it at the botanic gardens in Kandi, Sri Lanka, late December, 2012.

A while back my dresser quits on me. I remember the Lifehacker article on making a bookcase with the drawers.
Since the drawers are the same size, can't quite get the bookcase hack to work. But I could hack an existing bookcase. My mother made one for me when I was a child, not being a carpenter, one shelf was much larger than the others. For the last 15 or so years it's held some books and largish items, but not really useful. This week I added the extra drawers to the case to create an extra shelf.
Leftover drawers were used to make a plant stand. I put them catty corner(?) so that they fit puzzle like. I wouldn't recommend doing that where they stood alone, mine are propped up by wall and the shelf.

Don't run along Folkestone promenade in barefeet after you forget some items for the BBQ.
A resulting blister will appear, and then removal of the blister will reveal this.

Andy (the barber) used to set up this tree every holiday season and people would stuff their tips in as decorations.
Shrewd businessman that he is, now he pretty much leaves it up all year. :)
