Brunhilde has had not the least bit of fear of Blossom since we brought her home. Here she shows off her teeny-tiny jaws of death. Blossom, for her part, seems pleased to have a new little friend to fill the void left by the loss of her brother, Luther, may he rest in peace. Jack, Blossom and Linda at the National Radio Astronomical Observatory in Green Bank, W.Va. -- more Ph.Ds per square mile than any other place in the state. That's the hugely famous -- and famously huge -- Green Bank Telescope off in the distance. It's a lot farther away than it looks, is hundreds of feet tall (taller than the Washington Monument) and can hold a football field or two in its dish. June 17, 2006

She was born on Nov. 1, 2007, which makes her 2 mos. old, and she's a fearless little sweetie. And big dang ears, eh? They're not sticking up yet; that's gravity doing its work since she's lying down. ©2007 John M. Hudson | jmhudson1.com
