Taken with a Nikon D90 and a self-made tilt shift lens from Minolta (MD Rokkor, 1:2, f=50mm)

While all of these images are unretouched from the NeinGrenze 5000T tilt-shift camera, this one was captured with the camera in "vivid" color mode.

Earlier this year I was lucky enough to gain access to the top of my work building. At 36 floors the view is quite impressive. I thought the high vantage point would be a great opportunity to experiment with composing some cool tilt-shift-HDRs!

 

Normally you'd shoot with a proper tilt-shift lens to achieve this effect - I cheated and used Photoshop to 'add' the desired lens blur. The trick I found, was to know what part to keep in focus to keep the composition interesting enough.
