Now it's time to tack the Down Tube in place. First at the head tube junction, then at the bottom bracket.
Going to make another for welding Ti parts too. Turned out pretty nicely. I've had this part in my head for too long.
TIG welding (Tungsten Inert Gas)
end of the square tube capped off.
A little tricky welding. It gets too hot too quick.
Aluminum is a big heat sink and starts melting before you realize it.
Most of the seal is made by just fusing the material. Very little filler is used
The pvc pipe in background is my home made fumes extracting device.
This pipe is hooked up to an exhaust fan which sucks all the bad stuff to the outside.

Tried Cycle Designs System 48 silver with Stainless Light flux for the first time on these dropouts and it was a joy to use. Highly recommend.
Front Flat Mount Adapter. I have to make a pair of standoff's to locate the flat mount studs at the correct height.
New arrival this past week. For the price it's very well made with two sliding drawers. I just wanted something simple to house my welder, tank, gloves, mask etc. I'm happy with this piece of kit from Northern Industrial.
