The sixth image in a series...this one inspired by one of my all-time favorite episodes of I Love Lucy--the one where Lucy and Ethel get jobs, most infamously in a candy factory. :)

I joined a NANPA (North American Nature Photographers Association) Meetup organized by Bob Canepa and Don Quintana. Great time. Thanks.
A big Christmas Eve tidy up - well overdue. My Ikea Trestle table, when raised to its full height, is the perfect height for patternmaking. A craft book stash is under the table.

Bench Monday
This lady was tidying up the dust and leaves that sometimes get caught under the bench and seats.
Balat Istanbul. (*this lady was not sorting through rubbish, she was cleaning her house and taking stuff outside)
As the Sun valiantly tried to crest the horizon, it painted the landscape with hues of beauty.
I just found ppphotograph on Flickr. If you love landscapes, you owe yourself a trip to her Photostream.

Zaanse Schans is a small village on the banks of the Zaan river, complete with tidy green houses, real working windmills, and small topical museums such as the Clock Museum and the first Albert Heijn store.
In the 17th and 18th century there were thousands of windmills along the dykes; sawmills, dye mills, oil mills etc that powered the Dutch economy. The Zaanse Schans village gives you a picture of what it must have been like. Not all the windmills and buildings started out in Zaanse Schans, many of them were moved here from the region as they came under threat from urban development across North Holland.
The windmills are all working mills, and they perform various functions, including a saw mill, a paint mill (grinding pigments), and oil mill (grinding linseed or peanuts to draw off the oil). The oil mill was working so that’s the one we looked through.
Quite the rarity in 2020 is this six-wheeled Talbot Express car transporter.
Going by its tidy looking condition I'd say L190GVM is very much cared for by its Scottish Highlands owner.
Detroit's Delray Tower has the cleanest, tidiest interior I've ever seen in an interlocking tower. It is also one of the last, if not the last, "armstrong" lever-operated towers in the country, although for at least a few decades, the levers have controlled switches and signals via electric relays rather than piping. With the recent closure of Kalamazoo's BO Tower, and ignoring bridgetenders' towers, Delray is the last manned interlocking tower in the state of Michigan.
I read an excerpt of Marie Kondo’s The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying-Up. So if it doesn’t bring me joy with a look and touch, it goes. And I roll up my tops.
I unfortunately do not keep them in my top drawer. Considered changing it for the purity, but was too lazy.

I finally snapped, the shelf was getting a little TOO crazy! I think those are my neatest fabric stacks ever! I ended up putting away some of my vintage cottons as well as moving my polaroid collection to make more room. I think the next job will be doing something with the plastic organizer to make it look less.. messy!
Now my vintage sheet collection has a bit more space. They've almost filled the whole shelf though!
Wearing it's own specially adapted version of the present Stagecoach stripy livery, this 'C' series ERF looks an absolute credit to it's owners. IMHO, of the present day big bus groups, Stagecoach's vehicles seem to be the best presented. A657 JHD was captured at Carlisle garage early last year when a quarter of a century old.
Some people choose to live this life style. No taxes, no obligations. Collecting money everyday can bring a good amount of money without have to wake up early in the morning. There is also some money from Social Security every week. The baskets are tidily separeted for different purposes. If you give some you can choose among giving for: 1) Money for food; 2) for a trip to somewhere; 3) for Marihuana (gras); 4) for "us" ; 5) Ice cream
It was nice to see that this years' four offspring survived the summer. Not a great family photo, they were otherwise occupied.
Taken at last weekend's Winkleigh event when this and a whole host of other buses took part in shuttling and giving free rides to hordes of keen visitors.
YLJ 147 was formerly a Bournemouth Corporation bus and survived into preservation as a result of some pretty novel thinking. The operator saved one vehicle from almost every delivery for posterity when they'd finished with them in normal service and stored them at their cavernous Mallard Road depot. Unfortunately all good things must come to an end and the forced sale of council fleets and deregulation saw the collection looking for a new home. After weathering several storms followed by threats of scrapping if nobody came forward to take them on, herculean efforts in a short time by Dan Shears and his small team saw the entire bunch, some in very poor condition, arrive at the West of England Transport Collection, Winkleigh a couple of years ago.
Since then, several buses have been loaned out to fellow enthusiasts as a means of kick starting their restoration, indeed my good friend 'Berresfordsmotors' and I are currently custodians of three for example. Anyway, back to YLJ 147, she too latterly found a new home and even received a re-paint there, but bizarrely was returned shortly afterwards as unwanted. The bus is an MCW bodied 'tin fronted' Leyland Titan PD3 with twin entrance and staircases built in 1959.
