Well the hooomans had gone and left behind a few tasty crumbs for this gull :)))
Out with Pauls Pix 53 for a wander around Hastings.
At Cades Cove in the Smoky Mountains, one of the houses had a room which had this broom leaning on a shelf and so I thought it would make an interesting photo and I was correct with that conclusion. PS..for you cleaning procrastinators, may this insire you to clean today! :)
The San Luis Obispo Museum of Art had a whole bunch of new art on display when I last visited there, from artists whom I did not know, but whose work I did like. This piece was part of their exhibition of Fine Craft Art, named Dimensions.

Was lucky enough to have another visit from Interior stylist Selina Lake, author of fab books Bazaar Style and Romantic Style, this time with photographer Debi Treloar who has worked on loads of great books and Megan from Ryland Peters and Small (the publishers). They are working on Selina's new book 'Homespun Style' and some pics from my house will feature in it (v.excited)!! They were all so lovely, and hence I had a major tidy up so thought I would use the opportunity to take a couple of pics.
For some reason, the St. Mary's islanders look upon Tresco Island with some disdain. One of our "friends" we spoke to in our regular bar referred to Tresco as the "Plastic Island" of the Scilly Isles. He thought it was "manufactured" to please tourists, and that the island had lost its old character.
I'm not sure what to think of that. It might be true, but being a tourist, I thought Tresco was absolutely stunning. It helps that there are no cars on the island, hence no pollution.
So what's wrong with that?

Tidying up in the Quaker cemetery on the newly laid wood chipped path, Hull General Cemetery. A memorial to Matthew Gold Photos taken with an iPhone SE on a cold blustery day.In monochrome.
This simple image at Lacock caught my eye because the gardener had made sure that he placed his watering cans very neatly
On a more serious note I have decided to add a watermark to my images because there is a least one person who has taken an image of mine and put it on his own photostream. I suppose I should feel sorry for him.
Bang tidy shenanigans last night with Salski posing with smoke, sparks and light sabres in a derelict factory. It was great to shoot in a relatively clean and mostly dry place while the weather outside was biblical!
This is Sal posing with a burning smoke pellet with a backlight and softboxed flashgun to camera high and right. Timing is everything with these shots and I seem to have loads of images where the smoke shrouded Sal's face. Shot handheld at 1/200th
The steps are looking a bit clearer now that weed killer has been applied to them.
This is one of my favourite spots for photos and so I have to try and keep it a little tidy.
The weather today was kind for the 3238 gang as we tidied up and prepped the vehicle ready for the 2016 rally season, including a heavy clean inside and out and the fitting of various badges/vinyls to the front and rear of the bus. With 3238 now in prestine condition the opportunity was taken to capture her in the afternoon sun, seen here in Loop Road, Chislehurst. Sunday 13th March 2016. DSCN36016.
Our first rally attendance this year will be at the South East Bus Festival at the Kent Showground, Detling on Saturday 2nd April 2016, so see you there.

It's the plastic waste from a stripette cover reused as a cable tidy for my headphones.
Shot handheld with oblique natural light. Raw image converted in Darktable and then tweaked to monochrome in Digikam.

On a walk to Bushrangers Bay and Cape Schanck, via the Two Bays Walking Track, I was struck by this ordered windbreak of mature trees, dominating the neatest, mown paddock that clearly had never hosted livestock which would be so crass as to contemplate pooping!
My friend, Liz, waves goodbye to us from where Highway One was just last year. When Caltrans moved it inland, some areas were seeded with native plants. Even after our less-than-average rainfall, a miracle happened.

I joined a NANPA (North American Nature Photographers Association) Meetup organized by Bob Canepa and Don Quintana. Great time. Thanks.
