took me three hours to do that.
and ive still got filing away to do. I may not tidy up much, but when i do i get OCD about it. all my paperwork. (game guide, lyrics, poems, etc. needs to be filed away.
Youngsters from across Bolton recently joined forces with members of their local Neighbourhood Policing teams to help keep the town tidy.
The clear up day was part of the Big Bolton Tidy Up campaign, which has been running over recent years.
The day was not just an opportunity to tidy up the area but for the youngsters to get to know their local police community support officers.

We went through the village and just collected bag after bag of trash. Some of the roads had diapers and other nasty surprises burried under the dirt, so we even did a bit of digging to collect what we could.
The emasculated main line railway to Blackpool Central reduced to a single track and a "long siding" status which ends at Blackpool South now ... it is kept looking gratifyingly tidy!

Barrio Viejo, the old neighborhood, mainly consists of Tucson's 19th century homes and commercial buildings. In the 1960's & '70's, much of the old neighborhood was bulldozed to make way for urban redevelopment, including the Tucson Convention Center. Today, most Tucsonans would be happy to bulldoze the Convention Center if it would bring back the heritage that was lost. In the 1880's & '90's, this was home to a culturally diverse community of working class people from America, Europe, Africa and Asia. Many worked for the Southern Pacific Railroad. The arrival of the SP in 1880 changed Tucson from a hopelessly impoverished, dusty little Mexican village in the middle of nowhere to a growing Southwestern city of seemingly limitless opportunity.

North Laine Brighton
North Laine is a shopping and residential district of Brighton, on the English south coast immediately adjacent to the Royal Pavilion. Once a slum area, nowadays with its many pubs and cafés, theatres and museums, it is seen as Brighton's bohemian and cultural quarter.
Today North Laine is a bohemian shopping area popular both with locals and tourists, well served with cafés, bars and entertainment venues including theatres such as Komedia, which is in a former Tesco supermarket. The latter had been closed for some years in anticipation of major redevelopment of the area which failed to materialise; in the building was for some time a covered market with a number of small stallholders, until Komedia moved in from their previous home in Kemptown. The first branch of Anita Roddick's Body Shop, later to become a multinational business, was opened at 22 Kensington Gardens. Typical retailers include art, antiques, architectural salvage, second-hand books, CDs, "retro" clothing, graphic novels, musical instruments and new age paraphernalia. There is a high turnover of boutique-style shops in North Laine in general.
One of the less shopping-oriented streets, Upper Gardner Street, is closed every Saturday for an on-street market. Amongst the houses of this street are several antiques dealers.
The City Council redeveloped a gap site, constructing a new library and public square which became available to the public in 2005. This significantly changed the flow of pedestrians, which prior to this had been predominantly straight through North Laine on the main shopping streets, and is now more two-dimensional.

One of todays tasks for Eilidh from school was Life Skills. So she tidied her room and hoovered best she could. She also helped with making soup for lunch too. Still like a bouncy cocker spaniel though and too full of energy!

Did some major tidying today which mainly involved throwing things in the bin. Any paperwork with personal details that needed throwing away went through the shredder.
At one point we managed to block up the shredder blades, a problem easily resolved with a screwdriver (after unplugging it from the mains of course otherwise I wouldn't be here typing this up now).
