Acton to Merehead 7C77 empties approaching Clink Road Junction about 90 minutes late on 4 July 2019. (Lineside drainage grates removed - they are a real eye sore)
#96: is an unnecessary luxury. Another exam-cramming themed shot. It's hard to take photos of anything else when all you see all day long is your desk and notes sprawled all over it.
My kids climbed up and took a bunch of gingham seersucker bolts off the top middle shelf. Don't they know that this is my play room, not theirs! :)
Shelves and cutting table are from IKEA>
I tidied my desk, trouble is all the work is still there out of shot :( will get on with it tomorrow...........
Each year, usually in August, I have the big hedge at the bottom of my garden trimmed, to keep it neat looking right through the winter. It keeps it shape until about June, when it then begins to sprout. I have worked out, if I have it cut in June, I need it doing again in September.... so to save me money - I have it cut in mid to late August, and then it only needs doing once!
The same family have been doing it for 20 years. Young Robert was only 12 when he first came to help his dad. Robert senior now stands at the bottom of the ladder, whilst Robert junior does the hard work!
PS - the apple tree is about 7 foot, so you can see the height of the hedge!
I made a new video yesterday. My first attempt at a little stop motion film using BJD's :)
Please check it out here:
My bedroom, properly tidy for the first time in a while. This is the most productive thing I've done today.
Above my bed is my beautiful new print from Kurt Halsey, given to me by my BFF Helen. <3 it so much!
Nipping through the bush short-cut (not really a short-cut if I'm being honest) on my way home from work.
With the number of in service Leyland Tigers in terminal decline, It's good to have an above average one pass through for processing before starting a new chapter in it's career. Even the newest of the breed are approaching twenty years of age in 2010, J933 CYK is Cummins L10 engined, and has a ZF automatic gearbox making it a substantially more pleasant drive than it's manual gearboxed brethren. A coat of all-over red beckons and a new life carrying school kids in Somerset.
In a quiet and sheltered bay, a Common Loon (Gavia immer) builds up the nest bowl by pulling material towards her body while sitting on it. This deepens the depression in the nest cavity making for a bit better protection. Loons build their nest of roots, grasses and mud hauled up from the bottom of lake until it forms a mound. They are often constructed in a single day and egg follow within a short amount of time. Incubation for loons is about 30 days and both adults share the duties throughout the nesting and subsequent chick-rearing season. Taken in Tomahawk, Wisconsin.
We found this Bedford VAM14/Viceroy transporter on an industrial estate in Gloucester some years ago. As can be seen, it was very straight and had a rather nice paint job. Sorry, it was a dull day so not a great shot!
Here is a link to an earlier photo of it in service as a coach.
A hefty snowfall always tidies up the look of a railway. This is GWR's 165112 descending from Betchworth towards Dorking on the North Downs line.

Last Friday was cleaning day at my office. I tidied up and have taken photos to remind me to keep it clean and organized.
Thankfully, my wife is always keen to ensure that all is nice and tidy in the kitchen!
