Thunderstorm in Brownsburg Indiana 13JUN13

Supercell Thunderstorm(s) as viewed from 41,000 feet above Colorado June 4 2015. Our plane had to change course in order to avoid the storm. These supercell thunderstorms produced tornados in Simla Colorado.

The weather is quite unsettled today! It was cloudy in the morning with occasional heavy rain and thunderstorms in the afternoon. Thunderstorm alert was actually issued by Hong Kong Observatory in the afternoon, and more than 60 millimeters of rainfall were recorded over Hong Kong Island!

However, interestingly, the sky gradually cleared out after the heavy rain stopped right before the sunset. With the wind movement, the colour of the sky turned magic at dusk!! I've been waiting for this moment for the whole winter... The scene is crystal clear, I told myself, and how can I miss the opportunity to take another shot even though I've taken images of the same view before!?

This time I tried to catch the bolts at their creation in the cloud's belly - I think I managed.

There was a sudden thunderstorm whilst having lunch by the River Volta, not only was the sound and sight of the rain impressive but so was the lightning show too!

Shot in daylight at 1/50 second, as the lightning bolt was seen (most lightning captures are speculative long exposures of 20 seconds or more)

I was trying to get pictures of thhe storm and was having a hard time.

I made a video using my S1 IS and then inputted it into Adobe premiere and took this still shot.

Bartlesville has had storms for days. We seem to be on the edge of a dangerous weather system that's threatening much of the country .We've had sporatic thunderstorms ,not much rain. Tornadoes north of Oklahoma .

It was actually night and dark, this is a pretty long exposure lighted by bolts over the clouds.
