I felt a need to stash some thread. I was actually completely out of white thread! So, I ordered 10 spools to keep the twitching down.

Paid 75 cents for this box of silk crochet thread. Some of them are from the Heminway Silk Co in Watertown, CT.
We purchased these in Dexter, NY, a small town on lake Ontario close to the Canadian border.

This Spider which I think might be a Zebra spider had caught this fly (possibly a yellow dung fly) and was dangling from its silk thread and spinning round and round hence the not too clear shots I'm afraid . Rather distracting dead leaf too but didn't think the poor quality images warranted taking it out. Just posted for interest.VIEW LARGE ON BLACK

Female digs hole, places a live caterpillar into hole and lays an egg on the caterpillar which the larva eats.
After digging hole and laying egg , she moves small rocks into place to cover hole.
A final touch is kicking sand over hole to completely plug it.
