An art installation made by threads and different fabrics on display during Karachi Literature Festival held at the Beach Luxury Hotel in February 2017.
Trying to achieve the smallest possible macro shot with my point and shoot!
This is a shot at needle eyes one threaded with very fine cotton and one with woollen yarn!

of note -- I have 125 heddles on each shaft, but this project only uses 25 heddles on each shaft AND it uses the full width of the loom. So I had to thread every 5th heddle on each shaft to spread the heddles more or less evenly throughout the shaft (sometimes I threaded every 6th or every 3rd, it just depended on what I grabbed).

Today I've had a very productive photo day. As I walked home I decided to force myself to find objects around worth taking pictures of. This resulted in about 50 keepers, most of them macro, because I had a macro lens on. So no strobist stuff today, enjoy some more backlit macro shots with lens flare and bokeh :)

Hand English Paper pieced Double Wedding Ring block framing love birds from Leanika by Dana for Free Spirit fabrics. The floral border fabric is also from the Leanika line.
Quilted with pale pink thread using Anne Bright's Luna e2e design.

Today was a tough one, I must have snapped a couple of dozen blue things but it's so horrid and grey here. Nothing looked right so it was back to the sewing box again.

The big brown and tan ones are Aunt Lydia's in bamboo. They're really soft!
The DMC (round one) is in the Mocha Cream color, which is super nice.
Childs hand puppet. Made from 100% cotton. With hand embroiderd eyes and fully lined. Easy for very young children to play with. 12 inches from the tip of the ears to the bottom of the paws, and 5 inched wide.
All critters puppets are made in a smoke free enviroment.
Set of threads found in an op shop for $30.

I adore my little red riding hood cape. I had a beautiful bit of vintage fabric which I used to face the front and line the hood with. I made it in a class at Thread Den.
