The Macro Mondays year started with cotton and I thought it would be good to finish with it.

A stone with a hole in it (once found somewhere by the seaside) and a thick wooly ribbon in the colour of orange. Therefore my themes are 'holes' and 'orange'

Happy Sliders Sunday!
I used a brightly colored pink and blue fabric as the background for the needle/thread. In post I added some HDR and a Ribbet filter called Panography-ish, then added a drop-shadow frame.
The macro mondays group’s theme for 3/16 is needle and thread; and this is one of the possibilities. I am still learning about macro on the iPhone but I do like its potential......... check out the set-up shot in the first comment box
this was not an easy theme. When I tried the needle against the sequined backdrop it was very tricky to focus.
For Macro Monday's theme of Cotton and Definitely Dreaming week 1 theme of Man Made. Keeping these threads separate is a problem!
The cotton reels are small so the whole lot makes the 3 inch size
"Ttéia 1,C" by Lygia Pape - The Ttéias are constructed by the geometric installation of silver or gold-coloured threads in a space, either from the floor to the ceiling.
The word ‘ttéia’, which Pape created, is an elision of the Portuguese word for ‘web’ and ‘teteia’, a colloquial word for a graceful and delicate person or thing.

Well both of these were found at a flee market. How suitable that they be in the same image. Gerry like old things. As do I.
Happy Teddy Bear Tuesday

Looking close on Friday's theme: Spools of thread
The current state of the world feels like a blur between the imaginary and reality. I tried to play upon that idea to meet the theme of "needle and thread" for Macro Monday. I hope you are all hanging in there!
Macro Monday Theme - Contraption
This is a rather simple tool, but I never knew how to use it or thought I needed to. I have had this for a long time and never noticed the directions on back. I used it for my set up and now I think I may start using it. I always seem to learn something new for Macro Monday!
Happy Macro Monday and have a great week!
