I thought the color made it appropriate to call it that. The Milkyway shinning bright over The Watchman in Zion National Park, with the Virgin River barely visible at the bottom
Macro Mondays theme: Keychain (image is cropped to fit within the 3" limit)
My daughter picked up this miniature Eiffel Tower keychain while on her travels around Europe in the Fall of 2022. She had spent a semester studying abroad and stayed in Cologne, Germany. She admits that Paris was her most favourite place to visit among all of the places she travelled to.
Today I thought I'd get one more photo in before I have to take my Christmas tree down. Everything is finally put away now till next year.
Thanks for your visit! I hope you have a great day! HMM!

thank you all for the dialogue yesterday about i love you. i really enjoyed the thoughtful discussion.
There is a loneliness that comes from being alone.
And then there is the loneliness that arrives while standing among others.
The square was busy. People talked, laughed, posed for photographs, and moved through the afternoon together. Yet what caught my attention was not the crowd but the solitary expression of someone surrounded by it.
We often assume that proximity creates connection. It does not.
Each of us carries thoughts that remain unspoken, worries that remain unseen, and questions that no one around us can fully answer. We stand shoulder to shoulder with others while inhabiting worlds entirely our own.
Perhaps that is part of being human.
To long for understanding while knowing that some portion of our lives will always remain private territory.
For a brief moment, amid the movement and noise, that quiet reality seemed visible.
... my first photograph of 2020 was of this pensive Chickadee. They are one of my favorite birds to watch.
I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud
I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o'er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.
Continuous as the stars that shine
And twinkle on the milky way,
They stretched in never-ending line
Along the margin of a bay:
Ten thousand saw I at a glance,
Tossing their heads in sprightly dance.
The waves beside them danced; but they
Out-did the sparkling waves in glee:
A poet could not but be gay,
In such a jocund company:
I gazed—and gazed—but little thought
What wealth the show to me had brought:
For oft, when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood,
They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude;
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils.
