Leica 50mm Noctilux-M + Sony NEX 5N. Restaurant, San Francisco Bay area.

I thought this was a cool looking car, probably from the '60s or early '70s, and took this low shot in fading twilight. Just then, I got distracted, and forgot what I was going to d next, which was to go around and take a picture of the back. So now, I don't know what car or vintage it is. If anyone recognizes it, please let me know.

I really liked the way the Nocti / Sony combination rendered the white, non-metallic paint here. It feels very real.

Update: Thanks to flickr friend MNFISH for correctly identifying this as a 1960 Ford Thunderbird. Thanks, Doug!

All thoughts on foot care.

It would be good to give much thought, before

you try to find words for something so lost,

Most of my scans were taken back in 2008 when I first discovered you could take pictures using a flatbed scanner.

I didn't need VueScan software to use my old Epson Perfection scanner then, but I do now.

VueScan software allows you to use scanners which are no longer supported. Hamrick have reverse engineered over 6500 scanners and have included built in drivers in VueScan so you can keep using the scanner you already have.

So don't throw that old scanner away.

Keep using it with Vuescan software and help save the planet.

Thought I’d have some fun with a bunch of different looks. I didn’t realize I had so many wigs! Anyway, a bunch of them are quite similar, but there’s a few very different looks here! What do you all think? Some of these are very cheap (you can probably tell which ones) while others were quite expensive and are far more convincing.

...thought Mia, with a bit of sadness!

Mia knows that when we lose these leaves, we have lost color on the west side of our yard.

Thanks SO much, Olga and Sia, for Mia's darling Ronmiel romper! We love it so much!

Mia is also wearing some new very cool Jia Jia Doll shoes! We love those too!

Love this one of Jess just leaning on the rails. I love how I have caught the wind in her hair!

In the corner of the shop, where walls bear the weight of years gone by, he sits lost in thought. May be he’s questioning the nature of his existence. What does a life amount to? Is it the weight of memories, the sum of sacrifices or the fleeting moments of peace between chaos?

In August, I will be going on a seven day backpacking adventure to the back country of the Olympic National Park. In preparation, my friends and I have been getting out and getting our bodies fit for the 45-50 mile trip. I am no spring chicken, being just two years shy of 60 years of age, but I have the resolve to do this and have fun in the process.

Lately, I have been thinking a lot about my future and what it holds. The thought of not being able to physically do what I want is not an option for me, at least for now, so I push on. When I can no longer hike for many miles, or climb mountains or dream of doing these things---then I will hang my head out the window of my car, smile, and still breath the fine air that the great Pacific Northwest has.

That will be okay too :)

It feeds on minds and dreams.

Juvenile Great Blue Heron (3+ months old) continuously ponders freedom. He is finally

flying now, so after Mom and Dad go out shopping, he flies off not too far from home to

explore for a few minutes, and then races back before Mom or Dad catches him gone. LOL

He still relies on them to feed him, though. Soon HE will start hunting. ~ Delray Beach, Florida

I have given this some thought over the years; what distinguishes a neck corset from a collar? For me, a collar has limited adjustment using buckles or locks, etc. A neck corset has infinite adjustment through laces.

Obviously, tight-lacing a neck corset could be deleterious to the wearer, but they can certinaly be utilised to immobilise the wearer's head and to restrict breathing. There are a few photos out there of a girl I knew as Gina, who intentionally wore a neck corset so tight that she could barely breathe, the veins in her forehead stood out, and she couldn't swallow.

Neck corsets could be used to give the appearance of a stretched neck by pushing the collar bones down and the chin up. I have never worn a neck corset, but I am guessing that a neck corset that tall will be highly restrictive.

A short and silent from sound reminder to throw away all of those negative thoughts about yourself and remind yourself that you are enough <3

Did you know that seven in ten girls believe they are not good enough or do not measure up in some way, including their looks, performance in school and relationships with friends and family members?

And that 62% of all girls feel insecure or not sure of themselves?

[Statistics found in A National Report on the State of Self-Esteem commissioned by the Dove Self-Esteem Fund]

With so many woman struggling with low self-esteem, it can be difficult to point out someone who you could help, that's why I think we should get together and try to help all that we can! Even the littlest things can make someone's whole outlook brighten. Let's get together and spread the love that I know we all have! To ourselves and the girls and women around us! <3

I would be lying if I said I believed two things:

A) That my last dog Lady died over a year ago.

B) That my new dog Belle is a year old today.

This dog was kind of a family life saver. My parents were really down about losing the last dog, and when Belle came along, it was like new life was injected into the house. She's been incredibly well behaved and loving for this past year, and we can't wait to have many more years with her. And isn't it greatly ironic that she was born on October 1st, the same day as Walt Disney World? Seeing how much of a Disney nut I am, I thought that was pretty cool!

Thoughts in Flight: a wearable, miniature journal.

I am clothed in soft reclaimed brandy leather with a worn appearance, and embellished with a tiny brass sparrow charm measuring 17mm long. This sweet sparrow has a rich aged patina which contrasts beautifully with my brandy coat.

Open me up and you’ll find 36 pages (72 sheets) of tea-stained drawing paper on which to write. Each is hand-torn and stitched with archival linen thread, so you can be sure your little musings will last a lifetime.

I bundle up with a double black leather tie to keep all your words intact.

Measuring 1 x 1 ¼ inches, I hang from an antique bronze mother-son link chain, which closes with an eye and lobster clasp. When around the neck, my total length allows me to hang at 14 inches (28 doubled up).

Let your thoughts to fly…and sing a song like a sparrow.

Whilst on my morning walk i thought i would have a look at a Striated pardalote nest site that i knew of that was build into a pushed up pile of dirt . As i approached the nest tunnel i saw this Cryptocheilus species of spider wasp with its prey a rather large wolf spider well the wasp spotted me and drop its prey and flew off , whilst it was gone i took the opportunity to take a couple of the spider and then waited for the wasps return i knew that it would not abandon its prize i managed to take a few of the wasp as it dragged its well earned food store for its young into the abandoned Pardalote nest site at a very fast rate . my last photo turned out a bit dark as my flash was not recharging fast enough

This was taken in a train in France. She had a beautiful smile and beautiful eyes. Could see the balance between harsh and soft, love and hatred, happiness and sorrows in her eyes. I could not resist myself from capturing her time beaten but innocent face.

The thoughtful, pensive pose that Leslie is stood in on the right is what caught my eye as I thought it summed up the mood of the day, it prompted me to have a long chat with him.......... a big thanks to Leslie for taking the time to talk to me and allow me to take the photographs on a difficult day.

On the day the truth is finally released to the world, Liverpool fan Leslie Brookes, originally from near Mansfield, who attended that ill fated semi final on the 15-4-89, re-visits the scene of the disaster to pay his respects and have a quiet moment of thought. He was kind enough to have a chat with me and let me take his photograph outside the Leppings Lane end of Hillsborough.

It turned out he lived in Shirebrook at the time, the next village to where I used to live north of Mansfield, a strange coincidence. He said he had gone to the game as a season ticket holder with friends from the Mansfield area who were Forest supporters.

A huge thank you to Leslie for taking the time to talk with me and take the picture on what was clearly a very emotional day for him.

I, on that fateful day in April 1989, was at the opposite end on the Spion Kop with my Dad and Grandad who were big Forest fans. We could see from where we were that this was not hooliganism and something had gone wrong in a major way........we were shepphered onto coaches and away from the ground with no information amidist reports on the radio of hooliganism which we knew from what we had witnessed through our own eyes was not the case.

In the weeks after a group of us organised a sponsored walk to raise money and awareness for the famillies grieving yet being lied about in the press, on that walk the below poem was given to me in a pub in Beeston by a Forest fan called Tony who was in the same stadium as we were and witnessed the horrendous scenes unfold:

" To The Unforgettable Scousers

We were on different sides

But in the same race

We were at opposite ends

But in the same place

As I looked on

In total disbelief

Choking and stifling back

My feelings of grief

Absolutely numb

With all feeling I own

God Bless You

And may you never walk alone"

Today, after hearing David Cameron's speach to parliment, I am shocked and abhored at the lies and coverups the families of the innocent football fans from Liverpool have had to endure for the last 23 years, the youngest of the fans to die was 10, not much younger than I was on that day (14).

Maybe now, we may see some justice for the families of the 96 football fans that lost their lives on that tragic day in 1989.

The following article is both compelling and highly emotional, one of the best pieces of journalism i've read in a long while: www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/hillsborough-documents-re...

It was the year 1979 when LEGO launched one of the sets that became among the most iconic in the AFOL world: the 928 set.

The Classic Space theme was launched just a year earlier in 1978 and this set became a legend because it represented the most beautiful and largest spaceship in the entire fleet. It is incredible to think of the success that this set of only 338 pieces has had if we compare it to those on sale today, but in those days we were children who dreamed of having this box and our best memories are linked to it.

In '79 I was just 5 years old and I have never been able to have this box, too expensive for my parents, but I have always dreamed of it looking at it in the catalogs. Finally as an adult I looked for it and managed to buy it!

All this premise was used to introduce my new work: the Galaxy Explorer SDR-926! This year I am 10 years old as AFOL and I thought about making mocs that have a special meaning for me. The first of these was the desire to make a spaceship of some importance! SDR-926 wants to be a tribute to the 928 but with very different characteristics and numbers. Number 926 represents the birth of my daughter. The spaceship measures 85 x 75 x 21 cm and is made up of almost 4600 pieces! It took me 5 intense months to make it because it contains several features and functionalities in a single work.

Thank you for watching!

I thought about my 365 project and what I wanted to show with my pictures. I decided to focus on my daily life in Lille, in the north of France. Every week I'll choose a topic to present an angle of it. This week I want to introduce the city, starting with the "Vieux-Lille" ("The Old Lille"), the center of the city, with these colorful buildings, the Main Square and the streets. Hoping that you will find it interesting :-)
