that x on the wall is going away soon. i originally put it there as a focusing mark for some of my self portraits. now i'm well delayed in putting up something i've held so precious i didn't want to take it out of the box. (so we'll get to that later.)

Have learnt a lot, and most importantly, it was good fun~~ Words escape me at such moments, so I've chosen to upload this photo instead. Obviously moments like this deserves it's very own theme song, and only the grandest of melodrama is appropriate. It is performed by Jackie . Her life reflected and answered some of the deepest questions I had.

there's so much hope in having a baby, in the smiles, the cute, the laughter, but when you hit toddlerhood, you have to stop and breathe to remember the hope is still there on the other side of it all.
i've been realizing very clearly lately something I've known for a while in the back of my mind: my daughter is a high-need child, the kind of child who is like a wild filly, needing to be gentled, to be safe, to know she is loved more than she needs limitations. she is like her mother, sensitive, strong-willed, very passionate.
this weekend, I've been trying to breathe, trying to remember who I am and why I love, taking a moment to look ahead to what is beyond this moment when I just can't fix everything at once.
(I've got a TON of comments to return, and a crazy, crazy week before another wedding on Saturday! Please forgive me if I don't get back right away!)

Another selfie! WAH (We're Here) made me do it because we are visiting mug shots on Mug shot Thursday. So have I made it a 'mono more about me mugshot' for the introducing theme in week 1 of the 366.
Also for 13/120 - Beverage
It was lovely to be able to go and sit outside with my coffee this morning. I am supposed to be at work but decided to 'work at home' which means 2 computers on the kitchen table......and quite a lot of multitasking.
Alongside many others, I am taking the time each day to be thankful for something. I have started a written journal, so won't bore you with it every day!
But today I am thankful for a flexible workplace, dry weather and that I even ventured out on a starter run after nearly 2 years off; and that my son (#3 child) decided to drive to Cornwall from Sheffield, where he is at Uni, overnight (without telling us) and was safely at home by 0630 this morning. I now have all 4 'kids' at home for a week or so.
A farewell celebration after the last all-staff meeting. Some of my favorite co-workers (and former co-workers) came to hang out with me for a bit...
Not sure if this was just before we took that shot or just after. Or whether it was the first or second shot. ;-)

Secondo una leggenda, il Pettirosso si sarebbe insanguinato il petto tentando di rimuovere con il becco la corona di spine che circondava la testa di Gesù Cristo sulla croce. Per questo motivo il petto sarebbe rimasto macchiato di rosso.
Il suo canto melodioso venne imitato da Fryderyk Chopin nel tema principale della Grande Polonaise brillante op. 22, e da ciò è invalsa l'abitudine di chiamare il pettirosso lo Chopin dell'aria.

Zehn Jahre flickr
Eine Dekade und wieder ein flickr - Geburtstag, mein Zehnter!
Ich freue mich immer wieder über die Besuche auf meine Seite und bin eigentlich schon leidenschaftlich bemüht, neue Ansichten von meinem Hobby zu zeigen (wobei sehr viel Zeit drauf geht).
Sicherlich gibt es Viele die es besser können, doch das zu Erreichen ist nicht die Hauptsache meines fotografischen Anspruches.
Ich, persönlich, bin mit flickr zufrieden, man kann wieder auf den Bildern Notizen hinzufügen, hat eine super Möglichkeit seine Panoramen virtuell zu zeigen (obwohl es noch besser geht) und kommt mit vielen Hobby - und Profi - Fotografen in Kontakt.
Deswegen schaue ich auch in dem kommenden Jahr wieder gerne bei Euch vorbei und lade Euch wieder ein meine Fotos zu sehen, zu favorisieren, zu kommentieren und zu kritisieren.

I've been getting out and seeing more and more of Brooklyn and enjoying my new home. YAY.
The guys at Slick It Up, who made my jacket above, regrammed my pic on Instagram and it got HUNDREDS of likes.
Got tagged by four people and the third one, Re(Becca) Tabor Armstrong (check out her rockin' stream) obliged me to post! LOL j/k. I'll keep it brief and simple.
Now here are the 16 spontaneous-and-not-so-famous things about me.
1. I'm a fan of Nancy Drew and Sherlock Homes. I'm a bit nosy when I have to that's why I dreamed of working with the CIA and FBI!lol
2. I easily get attached with people. You are my weakness, so please stop!LOL
3. I'm a lefty except when I use scissors and strum a guitar. (i forgot! i use right when i use my cam, too... thanks for reminding me kuya jim!)
4. I don't like PINK except here in Flickr.
5. My dad still brings me to work and fetches me when he needs, too. LOL
6. I dream of playing tennis all my life.
7. I easily get bored with my hairstyle.
8. I love persuading people most especially in shopping. Saleslady, eh?lol
9. I'm a sucker for elegance.
10. I think Jollibee's fried chicken is way better than MacDonald's.
11. I love coffee and tea. Starbucks and Twining's are irresistible.
12. I'm a go-getter but never a brat.
13. When I'm embarrassed I can turn the whole thing into a comedy.
14. Food is next to godliness. Never tried a perfect 24 for a waistline!!!LOL
15. I love making people look good, in short, TRANSFORM them!!!
16. I only get irrational thrice a month. (So they say...)
