My first image was taken at Venice Beach. I chose this image because I love Venice and I also love skateboarders. I have been in love with skateboarding since fourth grade and my obsession has never stopped. Watching this skate competition made me so happy so I had to shoot it. My picture fits the grid requirements because I focused on exactly what I was supposed to. I also used a poster filter and brightened the image a bit. I really do enjoy this image because of his still movement and how I was able to capture him in such a position.
My second picture is of a chandelier in my cabin. This is the newest addition in my cabin so I felt like it deserved some recognition. This image fit the grid requirement because I also focused on the main point of this image. I brightened this photo a little and brought up the contrast. I like this image a lot because it gives me a warm feeling due to the lighting and the shine on the chandelier.

The third roll suffered a massive accident in that the spool jammed at the end of the roll. I had to expose over a few cells of film in order to unjam it enough to rewind the film. Unfortunately, it stripped itself completely during the rewind, and many pictures were damaged coming out. Oh well...accidents happen.
I chose this photo because of the peaceful atmosphere to it. The negative space worked out extremely well and it shows good rule of thirds use. It has very sharp focus and it looks like a solo fisherman heading out into the endless sea. (In reality this is a river and there's a bridge just above the top limit of the photo)
normally he plays first, but the third baseman had been injured in an accident during a practice and will probably be out the rest of the season.

In this picture there is light and color used to enhance the quality of the photo. I didn't edit this picture, so that I could keep the rainbows as vibrant as they are. The rainbow is a nice contrast against the wall and cat.
Third floor space at S. Y. Wilson in Arlington, Tennessee. The store is now used as an antique store. Notice the pressed tin ceiling. It is so cool.
this was flaky rounds of phyllo or a similar thin dough, with tasty stuff inside. We had one vegetarian and once chicken, and the filling was ground - chicken, chickpeas or lentils or something, cinnamon, some pistacios. Very savory - so the liberal dusting of powdered sugar on the top was a surprise, but it worked! Very complex, interesting flavors.
