We celebrated the art of design with AIGA Minnesota and The One Club!

We experienced a pop-up installation and screening of The One Show, collaborated on a custom font using natural materials with type designer Chank Diesel, and enjoyed live music from Mark Mallman. We also struck a pose in the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum photobooth and chatted with the curators and viewed artworks purchased from the Minneapolis Print & Drawing Fair, and enjoyed an artist talk from Minnesota Artists Exhibition Program artist, Austin Swearengin

Started by the Franciscans in 1592. The chapel of the Third Order (which is the Order started by Saint Francis to include laypeople -- a revolutionary and still-controversial event) to the right of the main chapel, was constructed in 1733. There was a major reconstruction of this church in 1945 after an earthquake.

After doing two blocks, there was still a lot of fabric left. I wanted a chance to use more of it, even if it was only a 2.5" square.

It's still not finished, but it is more complete than the others. This one is actually closer to something Elizabetha (the character) would wear, despite its short length. It still needs sleeves and Velcro.
