The hardest, the most fun, and totally mine. Challenging. I will do more strategic planning on the next one in this style. Lines matching coming over and under each other was touchy. Think it will all quilt out. Hope so! Expect I will do a large wall hanging or quilt in this style. Lots of fmq opportunity here has well.

Third Thursday: Old Hollywood on November 19, 2015 at The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art in Kansas City, MO. The glamour of Marlene Dietrich and Rita Hayworth and the charisma of Clark Gable and Sidney Poitier inspire people to dress in Old Hollywood attire. The Liz Finity Affair provided R&B standards and sultry jazz. Art activity: paper model Academy Award statuette and a paparazzi and #EpicBenton red carpet photo op. Local historian Bill Whorley portrayed Thomas Hart Benton who strolled the galleries and posed for pics with patrons. Photographer / Lauren Frisch Pusateri.

‘The Third Place: an Exhibition of Contemporary Art from Donegal’
An Grianán Theatre/Artworks Picture Framing/The Cottage Bar, Letterkenny.

Following on from last year’s very successful ‘Fresh Cuts’ group exhibition at An Grianán Theatre, Seamus Quinn from Artworks Picture Framing has this year curated a further and more expanded overview of Donegal’s rich and varied Fine Art community for Earagail Arts Festival 2014.
A large collection of works in all styles and media fill the foyer and upstairs Gallery of An Grianán Theatre, as well as across the street in the shop space of Artworks Framing. There will also be a series of site specific works created for the unique décor of The Cottage Bar on the Main St, Letterkenny.
The title of the show refers to the sociological idea that communities thrive when they are offered places beyond home and work in which to gather and communicate. Third Places such as Theatres, Art Spaces and indeed Public Houses.
‘The Third Place’ will remain on show at all three venues throughout this years Earagail Arts Festival. Many thanks to all the staff at An Grianán Theatre, the Regional Cultural Centre, Earagail Arts Festival offices and The Cottage Bar.

Third day lucky? well the weather forcast didnt predict much to the point i nearly didnt even leave at 0600 in the morning! but im glad I did as it turned out to be Blue skies almost by 1800! YAY!

Third Beach, Olympic National Park, just south of La Push. View to the south, toward Taylor Point and "Graveyard of the Giants". This little stream was our play space and offered an active lesson in how stream meanders form. Over its several curves, the outside edges were rapidly cutting deeper into the sand, making the sand collapse over and over as the stream bit into the curves. Meanwhile the inside edges had slower moving water and rapidly growing sandbars.
Third Beach, Olympic National Park, just south of La Push. It looked like we might catch some low tide tidepool action, but other than a few starfish, not much. The waves were crashing nicely though.
The third and last race of the day is under way on the Hudson River. Five of the six competitors are barreling to the second mark, while the winner is not even in sight. The rudder of the catamaran AC45F of Emirates Team New Zealand was caught at the start in the anchor line of the starting mark. All other five competitors pulled off with wind and strong currents while a crew member jumped overboard to free the boat. The buoy also punctured the port side hull of the cat - nevertheless Emirates Team New Zealand won the race. The Louis Vuitton America's Cup World Series races were held in May 2016 in New York City, after a break of 96 years. The boats are AC45F catamarans with hydrofoiling daggerboards, rigid wings, and five man crew. The teams are: Oracle Team USA [OUSA], James Spithill (Australia), Land Rover BAR [LBAR], Ben Ainslie (United Kingdom), Emirates Team New Zealand [ETNZ], Peter Burling (New Zealand), Softbank Team Japan [TJPN], Dean Barker (New Zealand), Groupama Team France [TFRA], Franck Cammas (France), Artemis Racing [ARTR], Nathan Outteridge (Australia).

Looking for monochrome possibilities, I saw this man in, what is, for this day and age, quite unusual attire.
I only got one crack at him; when I was moving to get a better angle, everything happened at once: a gust of wind nearly got his hat, the bus arrived, and he disappeared behind the bin to get on the bus.
I gave it over the top treatment, in the hope to evoke memories of the Third Man, or even older spy thrillers.
