Elf Fantasy Fair Haarzuilen 2013 sunday 21 april 2013
Every year in April since 2001, the substantial number of 25,000 people from all over Europe come to the largest Fantasy event on the European continent: the Elf Fantasy Fair.
Two-third of the visitors have transformed into orcs, magicians, dragons, knights, vampires, elves, unicorns, gothic lolita, manga comic hero or a combination of these. Every year the costumes are getting more resourceful and more artistic. In the midst of the budding nature of the Castle park which belongs to the largest castle of the Netherlands – Kasteel de Haar fantasy lovers indulge themselves in all that is offered and coveted: medieval music, dancing, lectures, theatre plays, and parades.
Sinds 2001 komen elk jaar in april een groeiend aantal mensen uit heel Europa op de Elf Fantasy Fair editie Haarzuilens naar het grootste fantasy evenement dat op het Europese continent georganiseerd wordt: de Elf Fantasy Fair.
Tweederde van deze bezoekers hebben zichzelf omgetoverd tot orc, tovenaar, draak, ridder, vampier, elf, eenhoorn, gothic lolita, manga stripheld of een combinatie daarvan. De kostuums worden elk jaar steeds vindingrijker en kunstzinniger. Temidden van de opbloeiende natuur van het kasteelpark, dat behoort tot het grootste kasteel van Nederland, Kasteel de Haar, dompelen de fantasy liefhebbers zich onder in een aangenaam bad van middeleeuwse muziek, dans, lezingen, theatervoorstellingen en optochten.

On 20 December FAO and oriGIn hosted the Third Regional Consultation on Geographical Indication in Europe and Central Asia.
The virtual meeting was organized in the context of an FAO project aimed at supporting the development of Geographical Indications (GIs) in Russia, Republic of Moldova, Georgia and, selected Central Asian countries (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan) by comparing the situation of those countries with the one of selected EU Member States, namely France, Poland, Hungary and Croatia.
Burley break laterally, with support, from a scrum during a third-versus-second Leeds derby against Leeds Corinthians in rugby union's Yorkshire Four (North West) league. The Kirkstall-based visitors were outscored three tries to one in a 17-5 defeat at Nutty Slack, Middleton. A deserved victory enabled Corinths to leapfrog Burley and move level on points with league leaders Knaresborough, who did not have a scheduled fixture.

Dover Castle, location for Stangmoor Prison in the Doctor Who story, The Mind of Evil, starring Jon Pertwee as the Doctor and Katy Manning as Jo Grant. Filming took place here on 26–31 October 1970 and the story was broadcast January to March 1971. Screenshots below.

The hardest, the most fun, and totally mine. Challenging. I will do more strategic planning on the next one in this style. Lines matching coming over and under each other was touchy. Think it will all quilt out. Hope so! Expect I will do a large wall hanging or quilt in this style. Lots of fmq opportunity here has well.

The former Missouri Pacific Station, also known as Union Station, is the third station on the site. The first two burned. The second burned in 1920. The previous building, designed by Theodore C. Link, had prominent Renaissance Revival style and Gothic Revival style architectural components, including the clock tower and the grand entrance. These survived the fire and were incorporated by E. M. Tucker in the design of the new station, that was completed in 1921. Although called Union Station, Missouri Pacific was the only line to operate out of the building. The building was rehabilitated in 1992. In 2015, the building was an office complex, with a small area used by Amtrak. The building is on the National Register of Historic Places.
