Did you ever stop to think, and forget to start again? ~Winnie the Pooh

thinking chimpanzee

I chose this title "Thinking" because I want to describe how I take a photo, it's not just holding the camera in hand and finding a clishe angle and shooting. Before I press the shutter or even hold the camera, I try to convert what is in my mind into a picture with the objects that are in that environment and choose the best angle that describes it, and after that I take the camera to convert the picture in my mind into a digital file.

These stamps were issued in October 1988 as part of a "Special Occasions" booklet.

Imagine getting a greeting card or letter in the mail with one of these stamps used for postage. Would that brighten your day? How can we add a little color to our greetings today?

My Flickr friend Akiko has been describing the Japanese celebration Hinamatsuri on March 3rd. This is 'girls day' on which people pray for the healthy growth of girls; I thought these 2 photographs were timely.
