This Northern Flicker looks like it is thinking about what next great adventure it should head off to. Central Park thinking is where its at. Amidst the hectic storms that life brings (or that we give ourselves), taking time to reflect and enjoy is important. Sometimes we fear we are letting others down if we take a break or turn opportunities down, but we have to find our limits and search for a healthy balance. These are all things I am currently discovering. This shot was taken in Central Park NYC- my favorite part of the city! We were incredibly lucky to come across one of those dudes making giant bubbles with a string wand. I know if I ever live in NYC, Central Park will definitely be a haven for me. I was blown away at just how big and natural seeming it is- as though it has existed forever- and there are endless discoveries to be made! Well back home after a long day and thinking about all those brave young lads we saw training at landguard Fort today. So many won't see these shores again.

I'm thinking about doing a red cloth series. My dad has got to stop going to bed so early though. This was the first shot. I need my own place.
I went to the quarter finals of the ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament in Rotterdam today! It was a lot of fun. We saw Mikhail Youzhny vs. Mario Ancic (I rooted for Youzhny, I could relate to him in a way, I was a bit of a 'temperamentful' tennis player once (I was never any good though :p). Mario won.), and Andy Murray vs. Marc Gicquel (rooted for Marc, who later gave up due to an injury). Also watched the doubles game between Coetzee/ Moodie and Berdych/ Melzer. Rooted for the first. I mean, how can you not like someone named Moodie? They lost though. I like an underdog. Or me rooting for you makes you loose. :p Also had a silly picture taken with Super Mario and ate a botox sandwich. Or something like that. Silly Dutchmen. ;p

I saw the whole scene, after the ship sailed this girl sat down and stayed for long thinking over and over.... !!
One of those caught on camera moments. A very rare event I know and who knows what I was thinking about.
