The thing I like about Saturday is it leaves me alone. It doesn't put pressure on me to do anything. It allows me to lay around or fly. I can take 10 naps or none. I can wear my socks inside out all day or just stare at plants. Maybe we can trick Saturday into writing Monday a letter convincing it of the benefits of leaving us be. Did you hear that Saturday? Tell me, what do you think?

back in CA it's not quite midnight yet, but here it's November 3, election day in the US -- i voted by mail a month ago, so today i'll be holding my breath and hoping that chaos does not break out -- and wishing fervently that today is the start of a positive new direction.

An Eastern Screech Owl opened its eyes momentarily and decided to ignore the photographers and went back to sleep.
It does look like the Owl was thinking during this short moment!
"Sun's up, uuh huh, looks okay
The world survives into another day
And I'm thinking about eternity
Some kind of ecstasy got a hold on me.
I had another dream about lions at the door
They weren't half as frightening as they were before
But I'm thinking about eternity
Some kind of ecstasy got a hold on me..."

Some wonderful time was spent with just me and my cameras this morning.
