Decksandrumsandrockandroll is the only studio album by English electronic music duo Propellerheads. It was originally released by Wall of Sound in 1998 in the UK. Take California was selected by Apple for their iPod debut commercial in 2001. It features a man shaking his head while listening to the track on his Mac, then drags the song onto the device including his "Favorites" playlist. He puts on his earbuds dancing to the song then leaves. It ends with the iPod wordmark and "Think different" slogan showing up

In the ring of mountains resembling enormous stone well with hilly valley on the bottom (and only here) you can meet Ehenari. This is the ancient proud race of creatures with bird's bodies and humanlike faces. Their heads are crowned with bony growths and golden bells, having powerful clear sound. Ehenari live in the mountains and weave their nests on the ledges and the cliffs so that no predator could get there. By themselves, these creatures are almost helpless.

Ehenari keep the knowledge and wisdom and share it with those wishing to learn. They are the ideal teachers. Every year they flock to the valley and freeze one by one on the tops of the hills, then everyone can approach them to learn something new, ask any questions and get the tasks for the next year. Ehenari communicate only with those who are able and really want to learn; other people cannot understand their speech, hearing chimes instead of voices.

Previously, there were more than three dozen of valleys like this, but local tribes didn't treat Ehenari with respect, and didn't want to learn anything at all. Those people threw stones and wooden spears at the beings, plucked out their feathers and knit magnificent headgears for chieftains, knocked down the bells from Ehenari's bone "crowns" and attached the bells to shamanic staffs. In addition, there were attempts to catch Ehenari alive and overmaster. With their wings clipped, they were kept in large cages. Encountering such cruelty again and again, Ehenari decided they had dealings with the Demon not with a Human, and then destroyed all the village. To do so they were flying around the edges of the mountain ring and bringing into play their only weapon. The valley was filled with resonant ringing of Ehenari's bells, and after a while from all the sides terrible landslides were falling, annihilating everything in its path.

Here's my goof on this subject. You know something is a horrible idea when a majority of both Democrats and Republicans can get together and say this is a bad idea IN AN ELECTION YEAR.

I sent this one up to Cracked too, under the Famous Websites Ten Years From Now Contest.

I bought this Richard Feynman Think Different Poster on eBay, and it arrived today.

It was listed as being in "excellent condition" and was photographed in a frame. It was to be removed from the frame, as "there is much less likelihood of damage if it is shipped in a tube".

Unfortunately, the packaging was dismal, and one of the end caps had fallen into the poster tube, resulting in damage along the entire top edge of the poster, as well as elsewhere when it was smashed.

I have contacted the seller, teralab1 who has a 100% positive feedback rating, and hope that they will amicably refund my money.

Thank you Steve.

Mourning the loss of one of my heroes.

I was stunned to hear of Steve Jobs passing. His ill-health had been quite in the foreground in recent years even as he continued to masterfully forge the directions of major industries with his vision and to personally touch millions of individuals with the engaging creations he helped conjure into being. However, I wasn't ready for losing him so soon.

His famous 1985 speech at Stanford summed up a perspective which I try to maintain in my own life: Don't take your life for granted or live someone else's dream, essentially.

I would like to extend my condolences to his family and friends and will always have him in my mind as an inspiring human being. Very much in the vein of the "Think Different" Apple slogan. He has entered the pantheon of the greats that were featured in those ads: Einstein, The Dalai Lama, Picasso, etc.

I am an artist and have used Apple computers as tools for my own creative expression for nearly two decades. I am certain the elegance and ingenuity that those tools have always embodied have helped color my work in very positive and inspiring ways, and for that I will always be grateful to Steve Jobs.

I felt compelled to share my thoughts and feelings about the loss of this amazing man, but also to state my belief that his powerful light still shines on brightly in me, and I believe the same is true for millions of others' as well.

Ecco i pazzi.

I disadattati.

I ribelli.

I contestatori.

Quelli sempre al posto sbagliato.

Quelli che vedono le cose in modo diverso.

Non amano le regole

E non rispettano lo status quo.

Puoi lodarli, disapprovarli, citarli,

My neighborhood is one of the older ones in San Jose and is famed for older houses from the 1880 through the Forties, big trees, and lush green lawns. However, our recent drought brought draconian water restrictions. Not a problem for me. When I moved in, I ripped out the front and back lawns and planted gardens of Native California flowers and plants. The great thing is that they hate water out of season and in season, in the winter, Mother Nature usually supplies most of the moisture needed. But it doesn't fit with the rest of the neighborhood and some of my neighbors, especially those who think Native plantings are a Liberal plot, hate my yard. Meanwhile, they continue to grow lush lawns and get cited and fined by the city for excessive water useage. And I just got a certificate of appreciation from my city councilman for "Wise Water Stewardship". Hee hee. File my actions under #Resist #Disrupt #ThinkDifferent
