Here's to the crazy ones.
The misfits.
The rebels.
The troublemakers.
The round pegs in the square holes.
The ones who see things differently.
They're not fond of rules.
And they have no respect for the status quo.
You can praise them, disagree with them, quote them,
disbelieve them, glorify or vilify them.
About the only thing you can't do is ignore them.
Because they change things.
They invent. They imagine. They heal.
They explore. They create. They inspire.
They push the human race forward.
Maybe they have to be crazy.
How else can you stare at an empty canvas and see a work of art?
Or sit in silence and hear a song that's never been written?
Or gaze at a red planet and see a laboratory on wheels?
We make tools for these kinds of people.
While some see them as the crazy ones, we see genius.
Because the people who are crazy enough
to think they can change the world,
are the ones who do.
My neighborhood is one of the older ones in San Jose and is famed for older houses from the 1880 through the Forties, big trees, and lush green lawns. However, our recent drought brought draconian water restrictions. Not a problem for me. When I moved in, I ripped out the front and back lawns and planted gardens of Native California flowers and plants. The great thing is that they hate water out of season and in season, in the winter, Mother Nature usually supplies most of the moisture needed. But it doesn't fit with the rest of the neighborhood and some of my neighbors, especially those who think Native plantings are a Liberal plot, hate my yard. Meanwhile, they continue to grow lush lawns and get cited and fined by the city for excessive water useage. And I just got a certificate of appreciation from my city councilman for "Wise Water Stewardship". Hee hee. File my actions under #Resist #Disrupt #ThinkDifferent
I have resisted the temptation to stick a 'Think Different' tag up in that inviting space on the right.
I heard about the Apple Popup Museum while watching MacBreak Weekly on Saturday morning. Luck me as the museum will only be in Roswell today and tomorrow.
This is the room which was dedicated to Apple's "Think Different" ad campaign.
Even though I carried my Nikon V1 with me I felt compelled to take shots using my iPhone.
