This double-crested cormorant caught the catfish, and was working at getting it down, when the common merganser suddenly emerged from a dive and tried to steal it. Justice reigned, though, and the Cormorant wrestled it away, then successfully swallowed it.

A Common Tern with its catch. The Dutch name of this beautiful bird is most appropriately "Visdief" - Fish Thief. Albeit in decline, they breed here but spend the winter in Western Africa or even all the way in South Africa.

Found Mr Squirrel this morning stealing my bird food. My poor Robin and Gold Finches not sure they too happy having their food stolen. But he looked cute!!!
Yesterday in the middle of the night i suddenly get a big desire for a a big nice fat juicy donut . and everything was close , and that s what crossed my mind ,like seriously . People who steal diamonds and here i am risking jail for a donut .LOL

This squirrel was hilarious to watch. She managed to dislodge the feeder and then after eating a few of the nuts she lifted the feeder gently with her nose and took one peanut at a time and hid them around the garden - mainly in the lawn! On the bright side at least she's not chewing her way through my tulip flowers/bulbs!!
