Levi Leipheimer (right) of team Radio Shack and Dave Zabriskie of Garmin round the corner at incredible speeds during the final 3 laps of Stage 1 of the Tour of California in Sacramento. While it appears as though they are leisurely cruising, the entire group of riders passed by in less than 20 seconds.
I was there recently, and it was remarkable how little it had changed.
Next time I'm in L.A., I'll try and take a shot from the same spot.
well apparently the winter has decided to take the year off, so decided to get back on the bike today and get an early start on one of my new years resolutions… 5000 miles on the bike this year. 21 down, 4979 to go :P
not sure why i've decided to take up 2 time consuming (today's ride was 1hr:15min… and it was a shortish one) hobbies, but why the hell not. i've got nothing better to do with my time ;-)
and yeah, from time to time i wear a full cycling jersey. not all the time, but as goofy as it may look (although i have to admit, i'm damn sexy in tights) it is a bit faster to ride in (less wind resistance) and the jersey itself has some pockets on the back for placing munchies… and seeing as how i burn about 1000 cals per 20 miles and weekend rides can be as long as 100 miles having a little fuel on board never hurts.
the rabobank gloves are form my uncle marcel in holland. rabobank is the dutch cycling squad that is an annual participant in the peleton of le tour (de france).

Captured from Lee On The Solent, you can see the lights on The Isle of Wight to the left side.
I know, not another shot of that again!
I thought I would try a panorama B-)

Who needs an introduction to LA?
Let me just tell you this: Lance is bigger than the sport itself.
He is a camera-magnet. It's like camera's go off spontaneously when he's around; and not only those judging from the crowds reactions... It must be tiresome being LA at times.
So I wouldn't blame him if he wouldn't wanna pose for 1 of my avatar/headshots I traditionally do.
But much to my surprise he stopped and looked straight into my lens (while about 294 others clicks fired too).
Thank you. Enjoy your new avatar Lance.
Make no mistake; here's Lance's biggest achievement to date: www.livestrong.org/
lightwise: used the sun as a backlight, fired Rayflash/ringflash (TTL) with 1/4CTO at highspeed. f1.8 @ 1/4000s
