Where Really In Uncharted
Territory Here 😸
I seem to attract Sharks % Not the first time 😅
Taken @ The Shack
A composite of "cocoa beach lightning" and "the shack". Quality in the clouds is crap due to the huge crop I had to do.
The lady owner of The Shack, a kiosk which sells take-away snacks and drinks to passers-by on this beach at Lee on Solent, was delighted to find the graffiti artist, Hendog, had created this mural on the wall in the dead of night.
Since I discovered the work of Hendog I have been looking out for, and collecting, his murals in Hampshire.
Elsewhere known as the john, the shanty, the shack, the throne, the shed, the earth closet, the relief office—it was the humble outhouse. The little buildings “out back” were as important as any building built before indoor plumbing. This was the building you located as soon as possible when you came to visit.
As outhouses were eventually replaced with indoor plumbing and fell into disuse, they became treasure troves for those willing to explore the old privy pits. Outhouses were also domestic disposal sites for old bottles, crockery and dishes.
So believe it or not, they still yield historic pieces of value.
You can view "large".....but CAUTION: it might get a bit smelly. ;-)
Thank Y'all for viewing this small piece of History.
Commentary is welcome.....but keep it clean....
Have a great Sunday !
There are times when you choose to believe something that would normally be considered absolutely irrational.
It doesn't mean that it's actually irrational, but it surely is not rational.Perhaps there is suprarationality:reason beyond the normal definitions of fact or data-based logic;something that only makes sense if you can see a bigger picture of reality.
Maybe that is where faith fits in.
A little something new i'm trying. used selective colouring. I used two layers, one B&W and the other colour and deleted the washing cloths in the B&W layer. I added a texture courtesy of www.flickr.com/photos/beapierce/sets/72157601574009156/
this is only a picture no blog post

Back in the late 2000s, several different "legacy" retailers decided to take their brands in a new direction by reinventing themselves for the younger generation. And, because pandering to younger people is a notoriously difficult task to undertake, they all failed pretty spectacularly. It's fun to look back and see how much they went wrong, so laugh along with me at my latest blog post: midsouthretail.blogspot.com/2022/05/the-hut-madison-ms.html

These places are public so these photos are too, but just as I tell where they came from, I'd appreciate if you'd say who :)
The "Original Tommy's" opened in 1946 at the corner of Rampart & Beverly, this historic Los Angeles burger stand known to native Angeleno's as the "Shack" was the first restaurant that Tom Koulax opened with his now famous chili burgers and hot dogs. Today there are 33 different locations and thirty of them are in the greater Los Angeles area. In 2008 Tommy's expanded to Nevada and there are three locations in that state now

About two weeks earlier Darrell (flickr, sierrasylvan) photograph this "Shack" surrounded by in full color Aspen trees with their magically gold color's. Located on highway 267 about 7 miles out of Truckee.
Looking closely at this Shack it is evidence that people are slowly taking (stealing) the lumber from this old Shack.
