Our Daily Challenge 19-25 July :Cannot Do It

 

I can't do anything at these temperatures.

This was on 19th July 16.

The outside reading is from the North side of the house in the shade. Goodness knows what it was in the sun!

 

My ideal temperatures are 20-23 C max.

I used to like it quite hot, but not any more.

 

It was almost ok under the big brolly in the breeze but that blew over in a gust of hot air.

#3708 - 2018 Day 55: Thought that since I again missed Galileo's birthday on 15th February, I ought to get the old thermometer in before the end of the month.

I've had this thermometer for a few decades. i used to keep it in my car to know if I should feel hot or cold. Now, my eleven year old car has its own digital thermometer. So this one sits on a shelf in my office.

The sun was shining on the outside sensor. When I first looked, it actually said 40 C, but it dropped by the time I grabbed my camera.

June 15: A lazy Sunday: after going to sleep at 2, I slept in till 9:30, then ran down to Stillwater for breakfast and groceries. The rest of the day was given over to reading and enjoying an absolutely perfect afternoon. It doesn't get much better than the low 70s, in my book. This is the hand-lettered German thermometer that hangs in the Pine Needles Cabin.

I took a picture of this thermometer to send to the other science teacher because I wanted to see if they had any that were a little better. Luckily I was able to borrow some nicer thermometers.

Right after I had been handling it. The real temp was around 77.

Mantle piece thermometer. It's a thermometer with a small LCD display that shows the temperature in Fahrenheit or Celsius and keeps max and min temperatures.

Also can display the temp in words, like "Very Cold" and "Bloody Hot".

The World's Tallest Thermometer has seen better days.

I have never seen the thermometer so high.
