SSC - Heat
Big plans this week, fires, burners, flames and other dramatic things but reality kicked in as I am having a busy week, so, a quick visit to the green house with my phone and this shot of the maximum and minimum thermometer!!! I haven't reset it for a while so this kind of represents the strange weather we have been having over the last few months.
In diesem Winterprojekt mische ich Low-Key, Rim-Light, Food und Getränkefotografie. Und auch hier bearbeite ich die Bilder ausschließlich mit Lightroom, Photoshopen will ich nicht, das wäre zu einfach und langweilig.
Nicht das jemand glaubt ich sei verschwenderisch...
Ich musste alle Getränke trinken.... Hicks* - Prost.
Wind chills today (Feb 5/2019) between -40 and -50 will continue this morning...

I have a feeling the summer is having a last hurrah. A cold front from the west Atlantic is approaching.
It is fairly obvious that it is a thermometer but not that it is a candy or confectionery thermometer. It measures in both Celsius and Fahrenheit and can also be used to help cook deep-fried foods.

HMM- the macromonday theme for today, 5/4, is kitchen- utensils, gadgets and tools :) there are several possibilities (6) for today-- i measured this and it comes in as 2 and 3/4th inches!!
During Lolly's trip to the Fort, she had just missed the snow. Luckily we found a patch of still powdery snow to have a snowball fight with.
And wouldn't ya know it, the very next day, legit snow!
Pictures were a must.

We bought these cute frog weather thermometers and this one sits in the window of my bedroom. You can just see a view of trees and our balcony through the window of the wintery weather outside.
A souvenir of Australia from a number of decades ago, this thermometer is showing the temp on my back patio, which is about 10 degrees F warmer than just outside (it is glassed in and hasn't yet lost the extra heat from the day). For 118 pictures in 2018, #02, "barometer/thermometer".

Aargh !!..................the thermometer on my back deck says 18 degrees and there is at least 3 more inches of snow so......this post is for my friend Shari who suggested maybe we should live out of our summer archives til the PA weather warms up. Sunset, Cormorant Roost Rocks, Florida Keys.
Woke up with a ridiculous sore tonsil today and fevers fluctuating all over the thermometer. They went away towards the end of the day though, hopefully this gets better.
The Galileo thermometer consists of a vertical glass tube, typically filled with water, and sealed glass bubbles containing coloured water or alcohol. ... When the temperature of the liquid in the glass tube begins to warm up, it expands; hence lowering the density of the liquid, as its mass now occupies a larger volume.
