Sari’s theme from Textbook #5 is ‘Unconventional material’, a subject many students don’t like due to not working with fresh plant material, which is what Ikebana means. The essence behind this theme is to experiment with design ideas thus saving fresh material until you have worked out the design- a little like make a Marquette. Keeping in mind the principles and elements of Sogetsu Sari used 20 ply wool draping from a huge wine glass into the smaller one. The next stage is could this be emulated with fresh material to create an interesting arrangement?
Since this week started off with Delphina having a second try at the whole "almost dying from not breathing" thing, and while for now she's home again but the problem is still not actually fixed, right now for me she really counts as fragile.
