Experimenting with an idea.

Happy Thanksgiving to all who celebrate. Hope your family get togethers are less awkward than this scene.

I did a similar picture with my Black Series Phasma, wanted to try with my Lego mini figure.

Day 1879 Y6D52

This was inspired by de marco's design. An effort was made to make this more proportionally correct and detailed than the TLG version. Inside Rey's scavenger net are her makeshift sled, a drained AT-ST power cell, a targeting interface board, and other salvaged goodies.

The front grill stickers are modified from those found in 8097 Slave I.

Recreation of my favourite scene from the new Star Wars teaser trailer.

This diorama was amazingly fun to setup.

I'm happy to present you my final version of my MOC,the crashed Star Destroyer Inflictor on Jakku. This isn't new? That's right,but...

Originally I planned an enlargement but it makes no sense to buy more bricks for one project and so I finish it now :) with a new overall view.

The diorama is 1,12m long and 0,80m wide,it was built with 25.000 bricks.

I hope you like it and I think some of you know the work in progress pictures, who wants to see them check out this link to my page:

Sorry, I can't get enough of the expression on this minifigures face. LEGO really did a bang up job on the Robin/Dick Grayson figure. So much so that I'm going to have to fight every urge not to overuse him in my photos.

This shot popped into my head as I was getting my son ready for bed. I originally pictured a long line of stormtroopers on the right hand side with Kylo and Phasma walking past them on the right. Somehow the setup morphed into what you see above though, re-using some set peices from a previous photo.

Hope it makes you chuckle.

Thanks for looking and have a great day

PLEASE COMMENT IF YOU FAVE!

I've had this fig for a while but haven't uploaded her.

Rey: First off, I love this suit. The cloth is awesome! I used TLG head and hair. The torso was painted off white as well as parts of the arms. Her legs were painted by me. All the cloth detail is cloth that was brushed with diluted glue and painted to resemble her outfit. I added a bunch of weathering to her for sand. Her arms were wrapped in cloth and one of them has a brown glove top. Her staff was made of a cut bar with various glove tops and lightsabers added. I also added thread so it could be put on her back.

Tell me what you think!

I am in love with my new Finn and Rey minifigs. I was super stoked to get a new maskless Kylo Ren minifig as well.

I try not to get into spoilers, so I won't go into details of this part of the story. Having that said, of the entire film this scene moved me the most. The combination of scenery, the pressing nature of the situation, all the characters reaching their emotional peak, and the swelling music really hit me in the right spot.

If you're interested, I posted a photo of how I took this shot here.

Still playing around with lighting to see what results I can squeeze out of a couple of LED flashlights and a bunch of colored gels.

For this shot, I had two flashlights, one with a red gel on the left and one with a blue gel on the right. It created a nice purple mix, but I added a bit more purple highlights with my iPhone LED and a purple gel.

I tried for a while getting the lightsabers to pop more in the photo, but it's difficult to get those suckers to truly glow. If anyone has any tips, I'm all ears. I ended up just punching them up a bit in Lightroom after the shot was taken.

Thanks a ton to DougJax for the idea.

As soon as I saw these C3PO polybags I was on a mission to get one.

Love the printing on the Arms & Legs.

Kylo Ren got another tantrum that led to the fact that the places around these two First Order Stormtrooper began to fall apart. The only thing they had left in a pocket, was the escape route away from the scene.

This is a part of the small series I did earlier this month. This scene here is the second photograph for the series. I'm uploading them in reverse order just because I want them to show up in my stream in a proper way. I'm still working on the first one, and hopefully I can show it to you later.

For me, it suits very well to the story told so far, that there are individuals among the Stormtroopers. I like it very much, it gives me room to play with around the original story.

Quick shot for Force Friday.

I managed to scoop a couple of sets but stocks was very limited, so I didn't mange to get the sets I really wanted.... Although I did order some on Lego.com.

Anywho, with this I wanted to get a sense of motion, as I really need to get back into taking more shots thought this was hopefully a way og getting my mojo working again.

It's all based on one shot but fiddled around with in Photoshop.

It wasn't as hot today as it has been so I decided to bring out my custom Resistance Base to recreate this shot with Finn and Poe (and BB-8 who always seems to be in the background) from the film. I've really been wanting to utilize natural light lately in my photos, plus I have't set up many photos with Poe Dameron so I hope you all enjoy!

I do not know for sure, but no matter how strong the Force is, there are a bunch of people who think on their own best. When I saw this trio, I thought at first that their we're returning from one of the tasks that Darth Vader was given to them, but I was so wrong. They had runaway from the base and decided to try life on their own.

In search for food was one of Rey's missions on Jakku. As there were lots of spare parts and junk lying around Jakku's desert the mission was sometimes rewarding. Did you know, that those big wreck of ships from the Galactic Empire were just a few miles away from Rey's hideout place?

Here she is finding another new piece to be delivered to Unkar Plutt. I wonder how many portions worth of this particular part is.

- "Di-did you hear that?"

- "What, what to hear now what, what?!"

- "That little rustle sound, did you felt it?"

- "No. No I didn't. We're just a two of us here. There's nobody else here"

- "I dunno about that. I feel like someone is watching me..."

Here's a two First Order Stormtroopers on the planet Takodana.

I've been recently finding myself photographing a new minifigs from the new Star Wars movie. I have already promised myself for not to pursue on a new things and stick with the Original Trilogy, but then I saw this new Lego set featuring almost all the key figures plus pretty nice vignette from the new movie. So, here's a trio you've might seen, if you have recently visited on a movie theatre near you.

I couldn't resisted to upload this as this turned out to have a pretty nice cinematic feel and those figs feel like they are really having a discussion I described above. Also, I was playing with a whole new way of lighting the set-up, so basically this is an outtake or just a test to explore new things.

Not crazy about how this one turned out. It was shot using a piece of plexiglass, an ipad, and the LED light from my iPhone.

I dunno, felt I could have done more with it.

What do you think?

The First Order Stormtrooper we're brave enough to try the entry in the Maz Kanata's Cantina on Takodana. They we're in need of an liquid that could oil their mouth with a wisdomness. One is knocking the door, while other is a bit suspicious about their luck...

This is a part of the series I did sometime ago. It sort of links to this scene I did in first place with these wonderfully characteristic new Stormtroopers from the new movie. This is all in-camera. I think the lighting fits the theme very well on here. It's a night and the moment their having is a bit freezy...

Imagine a bit spooky soundtrack playing on the background, featuring strings, bass, frogs and a few grasshoppers... then it would be perfect! ;D

After watching the new star wars movie a couple of times at the cinema, I decided I had to have one of these for Christmas. To justify it, I made it a joint present to myself and my son :)
