Autumn colours at Brandon Marsh wildlife reserve 2022 The water level is still quite low in the pool at the moment.

This was once Part of the Stoneleigh Manor Estate. The track which went over the bridge was one of the driveways through the estate It used to have a stone built gatehouse which has long been demolished to allow for a large roundabout for the Leamington Road and a two lane bypass which passes Kenilworth and Warwick to be built! As a youth a few friends and myself squatted in the building to try and save it being demolished but sadly the powers that be prevailed.

A lone swan comes to meet us in an early morning mizzle in Rossmore Park, county Monaghan. One of our last days before "returning home".

One legacy of these incredible gardens of the "landed lords" is that they now include mature trees from across the Earth, in the case of Rossmore, even a 150-year-old redwood from California.

This lake, called Castle Lake, was the one directly under the castle itself and so the most ornate.

Tweaked HDR.

i'm not a good landscape photographer but i decided to dedicate a day x week to do something different.i want upload some african landscape photography.here a view of the victoria falls, zimbabwean side.

the victoria falls are like an huge crevice of 1700mts width and 80/120mt depth.the Zambesi river "falls" in the crevice bringing 1088m3/second(annual average) and the effect is a lot of spray..so much spray to create a little "tropical forest" around and many times same beautiful rainbows...i hope you will enjoy!

Every autumn I enjoy walking around with my camera looking at the fall colours. Leaves change colour in the fall, because of changes in the length of daylight and changes in temperature at night. Small leaves from a tree or bush which have the mixture of red, pink, purple, orange and yellow colours grabbed my attention. Because of being different is great, but it is hard. People know that.

On Scalm Lane

Did he or didn't he ... catch the salmon? When positioning yourself to be in position to capture the bears as they catch the jumping salmon, there are so many misses of "the shot". I'm talking about the photographer. LOL. Sure the bear misses as well, especially when the salmon twists its body in a way that the grab is no longer possible, but for the most part the bears don't expend much energy on an uncatchable salmon jump. Twitchy finger on the shutter, I also have to time it just right to get the shot. See, I'm not a big fan of the "spray and pray" photography session, since then I have to go back and check thousand of frames, so I always challenge myself ... with varying success. ;-).

Patience is the name of the game when photographing brown bears in their quest for salmon whether that be the run down the river, the jump off the bank into the river, or for the salmon making their valiant effort upstream to complete their circle of life. Quick reflexes are important too.

So, what did you decide? I'll tell you ... yes, in deed this hefty guy did in fact get his dinner in the successive images. I mean, you can tell he's quite the skilled fisherman, in a prime location for the catching too.

Hope that you enjoy this image and your Sunday as well.

I highly recommend visiting this wonderful peaceful sim in Second Life.

This picture was taken in the New Forest in the UK. I have been away from Flickr for a long time and keep trying to get back into the groove as it were, but life gets in the way. I have been trying to refine a new area I have moved into, woodland photography. I hope to regoin Flickr soon and join up with all the people I have know for the last 10 + years. My love to all.

Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower. ~Albert Camus

It is still summer like here but I did notice the trees just turning a slight bronze color yesterday.

Have a good Sunday all.

Hydref is the welsh word for autumn. Hyd as in bud and ref as in rev as in revving the car.

The Falls, at twilight.

Went to Niagara Falls yesterday to see The Falls. Still a lot of ice left at the base of the falls. It's not an arctic glacier but it's something :]
