RHDR Romney, Hythe & Dymchurch Railway No. 4 "The Bug" races along as Network SouthEast 4 Vep 3171 at Upper Warlingham Station on the weekend to celebrate the electrification of the East Grinstead Line. 26th September 1987.

I still have the 'Paddymade' Federation pack from Paddy Pallin, in George St Sydney!

We loved the way we could pop down the beach and up onto a dune in those days...

Especially frowned upon by me and other careful 4WDrivers these days.

Not like many we see around these days..

On the Nullarbor towards Balladonia ...

Had to clean the air cleaner a few times.

This is what killed it in the end, on the fast return trip to Sydney Jan 1966 to say bye to the family, for a new life with Mary in Perth.....

On one trip, I had run out of spare oil so had to drain a little out of the sump to add to the air cleaner. The dust and grass and sticks and a little damp dirt was all that remained in the bottom of the air cleaner!

We now have the movie... Great!

We popped down to our favourite beach for a surf, instead of a caving weekend. Stayed the night on the dunes, you can't do that now, too many tourists..

Here we are cooking our bacon and eggs for breakfast..

The VW #CLM174 , was our poor-man's Land Rover.

Rick on the left, another Mary, and one of Rick's birds, and Mad Dog!

See notes on screen ..Mary someone! Symons, remembered by Frances the other day while sorting her records and letters. Frances says this Mary had a second surname! See my lists of girls I knew in "Trips & Pay booklet with the edges eaten by the Scullin silverfish! 07-06-19

According to the 1965 diary, we then went rockclimbing at the Lindfield cliffs with Bryden Allen!

Then on the Thursday 4th I took the VW to Jax Tyres... in Leichardt Norton Street! I was at Jax Tyres in Mitchell yesterday with #AngelaMerc !! www.jaxtyres.com.au

Harley, Leslie and John phoned on the 2nd March !!

On Sat 3rd April my work diary says the Beetle completed 60,000km

We had a drunken bushwalker's reunion at Bluegum Forest in the Blue Mountains... home with Erik and John D.?

In a previous life Mark Pritchard was part of the Jedi Knights, Reload and Global Communication. Now he is Harmonic 313 and made a hell of an album. The official release party was in Overtoom 301, a squat club that hosts regular dubstep parties.

This is the 5.4 pitch below the famous gendarme. You can see the Bugaboo-Snowpatch col in the distance. Due to bad weather and cranky partners, this is the only route I climbed in the Bugs.
