Romney, Hythe & Dymchurch Railway Industrial pattern 0-4-0 two-cylinder tender-tank locomotive No. 4 'The Bug' departs Warren Halt, with Bure Valley Railway's No. 7 'Spitfire' on the front, working the 14:43 shuttle service to New Romney

To get a good shot of the front of this hut and Snowpatch Spire together, it's best to use a wide angle lens to avoid stepping too far back and over cliffs.

This photo was shot at lens' max. field of view (28mm), standing as far back as I dared to the edge.

So close, yet so far away. Victoria was on the itinerary for Day 6, however the ship had an overheating problem with one of the thrust bearings, so we were forced to slow down and as a result missed this port. The ship still pulled into the harbor and a tender was sent with crewmembers to shore so they could stamp official paperwork, but no passengers were allowed to disembark. We spent about 30 minutes in the harbor before heading back to Seattle. I was looking forward to seeing it, so for now I'll have to see it in photos (check out thebugs photostream).

 

The Star Princess and Westerdam are docked in port.
