The losers taxi from The Apprentice.
A BBC show I've heard of but never watched.
Hurst Street, Southside over Smallbrook Queensway and onto Hill Street.
Well it says "The losers cab is back".

This is Brazil‘s oldest fortification, invaded
by squatters in front. The front has been
removed and this image no longer exists,
only the Restored Historical Fort. But frankly,
from the photographic vs. historical and artistic
point of view this image is better. A contrast of
times and way of life.

To those who questioned, this
is the section cropped off the
previous image. It has been
enlarged. Also the sky reaches
the top of the Church, here it
also has been been cropped.
This section is about one third
of the hight of the church. The
full image can be seen well
back in the stream. Please
comment, if you will.
Funny postcard advertising the German version of "The Apprentice". The slogan is: "You'll do anything for this job." Features dolls acting like mean girls in front of a red background. (Wonder if Donald Trump knows about this? I like it better than the ads I've seen for the "Apprentice" show on American TV. Needless to say, this was long before Trump became President.) This morning saw the launch of The Apprentice 2007 - now in its third series, it's a great show, and this series looks to be the best yet! It starts on 28th March, 9pm, BBC one. Also see blog.remez.com/2007/03/20/rtfm-read-the-manual/
Fancy dress Party, dressed as a Baiana.
The Bandaid is is not part of the dressing!
Bahia is three states North of Sao Paulo,
I believe initially occupied by the Dutch
immigrants. Please correct me, if I am wrong.

On Wednesday 7 March 2012, Oxford Brookes helped to organise a visit to Oxford Spires Academy from Melody Hossaini.
Melody is an alumna of Oxford Brookes where she studied Law and graduated in 2006. Melody shot to national prominence is 2011 when she appeared on The Apprentice.
As founder and CEO of InspireEngage International, Melody was able to inspire pupils to achieve their dreams.
Melody is also giving a public lecture at Oxford Brookes on 25 Apri 2012 as part of the University's Alumni Community Events. More information on this second event is available on our Events pages at www.brookes.ac.uk/about/events/e-items/Alumni_Lecture12"
We had one Church of Scotland Minister and one
Church of England, Rev. Irvine taught us Physics,
Rev. Booth taught us Mathematics, clever pair,
but what they really taught us was that there is
no reason for any dispute over Religion,
whichever one, since they are only different
roads that lead us ALL to the same destination.
This was easy for me to understand for one of
my best friend‘s name is Rosenbloom,
he sat close to me in this chapel and sang out
and prayed the same as I did. I now wonder if he
remembers me?
For some reason I hope he does since
he is still in my mind after all these years,
and I still pray for his welcome, some day
wherever this place should be for both of
us and all others who shared this chapel
and still carry on in the same tradition.
Both Reverends knew what they were
preaching, always together in unison.
I had joined the Church of Scotland and still
consider myself a member although in Brazil,
we have no Branch.
So, when I feel any need of help, I go to the
Jesuit Church, and am accepted as one of their
own flock.
Thank you Revs. Irvine and Booth, for this was
the best lesson the pair of you ever taught me,
although I did get a pass in Maths, Physics and
Applied Mathematics into the bargain.
You shared the burden and self respect equally,
and we all gained from your wisdom.
I have been corrected by a current pupil who has been kind to comment on this photo. It is the Headmaster‘s House, which is part of the main building.
I hope that others who find a mistaken comment, should do the same, for which I would be most grateful, Iain Ritchie K49
Donald Trump arrived by helicopter to Pease International Tradeport in Portsmouth on Wednesday morning, April 27, 2011. Trump addressed members of the media upon arrival before climbing into a limo. He then went to the Roundabout Diner in Portsmouth followed by a few other stops in Portsmouth. He concluded his first primary visit to New Hampshire at Newick's Lobster House in Dover.
Here are the three Gentlemen in the Cloisters
as mentioned above. This is the second upload
of this image so that you may see what is within
the arches in front of the previous image. Note,
I hid the camera since I did not want any of the
men looking towards me nor the camera. I was
behind the opposite column on the left side so
they could not see me. In most cases, when a
camera is pointed towards someone, they look
curiously towards you and/or the camera, and
this would ruin the image, since it would no
longer be a casual and natural shot, it would
seem posed. All shades of gray, process with
care, here we have all, but as you move down this
corridor you will find all shades from pure black
to snow white.
Kabir Hayat joined GMP in March 2013 as an apprentice operational support officer. He lives at home in Burnage and has one older brother, two younger brothers and one younger sister.
Ever since he was in High School Kabir has wanted to work for the police and while there studied uniform public services.
When he left college he had various jobs building his experience whilst waiting for opportunities to open within the police. It was his dad’s friend, who works for GMP, who told him about the apprentices being recruited. He went along to the open day, filled in an application form got an interview and successfully became one of 22 apprentices out of 500 applicants.
He works at Hyde and is part of the INPT there dealing with mainly anti-social behaviour and vulnerability issues. He really enjoys the contact he has with the public and the rapport he is able to build up with the public when speaking to them over the phone.
He finds his workload challenging in a good way. As it was a new role, he has been able to develop it in a way that helps support the neighbourhood team by focusing his time on particular issues that are relevant at any one time.
He really enjoys working with the community on a range of issues that affects peoples’ lives, providing reassurance and making a difference.
In the long term he would like to become a regular police officer.

In October 2007, this impromptu booth was set up in Times Square for one day, selling discount Broadway tickets, with the proceeds going to charity. Tickets were $50 each, mostly mezzanine seats, and goodie bags with hats, cds, programs, and other Broadway memorabilia were given out with the tickets. The charity wasn't specified. It turns out this was a task for "Celebrity Apprentice" and this particular episode airs January 24, 2008.

Crieff, Perthshire - Scotland. This image has also been
cropped at the request of another flickr member, who
wanted to view a stone building which is 500 years old.
The rough stone masonry is quite clear in this version.
The walls are about 3ft. thick and the house takes
about one week to heat well in the winter. This is my
cousin's house. The colours are natural. View large
for detail.
