The first page in this new challenge....a contour self portrait using the sewing machine to draw in one continuous thread on a painted page from a book. #the100dayproject
So Alex asked me about this, I figured I'd try it tonight.
I put the mount adapter on the E-M1 and threw on the Canon EF 400 f/5.6, which gives it an effective 800mm focal length on the crop sensor. With the mount adapter, the f stop disappears, so I have NO idea what this is at. Anyway, I DID figure out how to zoom the live view to focus, as this has to be done completely manually.
One more with the LensBaby in the backyard.

Stitched on the sewing machine with free motion....I started out a blind contour, which means I don't look at the stitching....but I had to at one point for safety! lol. Gouache, thread, and index card. Day4 of #the100dayproject.
My sweet girl is home on Spring Break this week and wanted to help me with my composition today. She provided the artwork and stuffed animal. We made smoothie bowls with inspiration taken from my new cookbook - The Pretty Dish by Jessica Merchant. I outlined more details about how I want my 100 days to proceed in the journal my older daughter made me a few years ago. I still struggle to use it regularly because prior to receiving it the only time I wrote in a journal was when I was sad or frustrated and I hate looking back at those entries. Heading out to play and follow my own advice to stop spending too much time on social media and more time with family or working towards my goals.
PS - I made a big batch of homemade granola yesterday, I forgot how tasty it is. Yummo!
100 days, 100 photos, 100 different outfits that consisted of: 46 garments, 2 belts, 4 hats, 4 necklaces, 3 purses, 8 pairs of shoes (gave one to Grandsweetie #3), and also a kitty, a doll and a sock monkey. On 48 of those days I also sewed, crocheted or knitted something, many of the things were for Jeanea.
I got behind a couple of times in posting my photos, but I did manage to take one each day of the challenge.
