You could say this is from the archives, as I shot this two weeks ago, but I am actually still processing these shots. I took so many that I am nowhere near finished, which is good, I still haven't got my 40D back. Well, the dude said it'll take 10-15 business days to fix it, but I still hoped they would be a bit quicker like with my lens, which I got back after 2 days. And then they also said 10-15 business days...
Anyway, I shot this 20 minutes before sunrise while waiting for Michael, not knowing if he got my e-mail(s) and textmessage with directions or not.
I was at this exact spot a couple of weeks ago trying to photography the waves splashing against these rocks. However, this time the water was calm and taking photos of amazing clouds. That is the great thing about photographing seaside, it changes so much with the tides and weather.

This is taken on Canal Street near Broadway in NYC. I liked the bustle in the scene and how the lady in the mural seemed to be looking down upon us or at least upon the music note guy texting....:-)))
Turns out yesterday's photo brought out a bit of interest.
The Girl asked if she could have a sticker on her phone also. When I asked if she wanted a camera too she said no and wanted a kitty cat instead. Go figure.
She did say that my phone looked silly because it looked like a camera. To which she picked it up and started photographing things around the room.
Stickers make phones fun!
More photos of the phone/camera can be found here.

Streetphotography at the Preuvemenint in Maastricht. A tasting-culture with the fancy jackets and cocktail-dresses. Maastricht shows itselves.
Sometimes it just takes a text message/SMS on a phone to make people happy... I was looking for a grungy paparazzi effect on this shot.

MODERN TIMES! COMMUNICATION.
From a very young age you see children with mobile phones, nowadays.
Mixed feelings.
I personally think that it is still a very expensive must have 'gadget'? How did we all ever survive without it????????
Anyway, here, this girl was only playing with her mum's phone, pretending, it was great fun!
thank you for your time and comments, greatly appreciated, M, (*_*)

At last, I've decided to give in to these popular daily photo projects - 365 Days, Project 365, 365 Days Project and 365. I have been contemplating about them. I know it is difficult but I want to take the challenge. I most likely will get the discipline I want by being able to meet "personal" deadlines. There will also be self-gratification, of course... If there's anyone here
Who knows why these two people should not be joined together
Let them speak now or forever hold their peace
Wait! Wait! Stop the wedding
You're just marrying her for spite
If she knew the inside story
She'd tell you what you're doing just ain't right
Etta James ~ Stop the Wedding
I stumbled across these young newlyweds inside the San Francisco City Hall. I couldn't help but wonder who they could possibly be texting during a moment like this.
Of course, I decided to let my imagination run away like Jennifer Wilbanks in her Adidas on a hot Georgia day. ;~)
- Nothing can ever change the way I feel about you.
I haven't been active with Flickr, at all. I'm so sorry, I've just been so busy with everything that I haven't gotten the chance to pick up my camera. I decided to upload to say hello hello hello, and to just talk.
This picture is very simple; but it means alot to me. This quote is not mine, but it symbolizes me in many ways. Love is a very powerful thing, and I believe i'm unconditionally in love with my boyfriend. And i'm enjoying every minute of it.
Wikipedia's text messaging article provides a detailed history of texting. Although there were antecedents--telex in 1933, ALOHAnet in 1971, and even wireless telegraphy in the nineteenth century--it wasn't until 1995 that Sprint Spectrum introduced the first modern text messaging service (SMS, or Short Messaging Service) in Washington, D.C., and Baltimore, Maryland.
I think that this chronology will have to be revised, however, since I'm pretty sure that this old photo shows a kid texting away on his phone while his brother and mother wait for him to finish. Unfortunately, the picture isn't dated, but since the boys are wearing knickerbockers. I wouldn't be surprised to learn that it was taken as early as the 1910s or 1920s.
I wonder if any other texting photos from the early twentieth century have survived.

One of those little things you may notice on the street, near Central Park (or almost anywhere in the world, really).

One week in lockdown.
(New challenges require new approaches: for the duration of my time off work, and with my horizons severely limited, I’ve decided to experiment with shooting and presenting pairs of images, instead of the usual single frames. The results might not turn out to be anything special, but there’s got to be something worthwhile in the process.)

Ilford Delta 3200 Professional (pulled to 1600)
Canon EOS-3
Canon EF 100mm f/2.8L Macro IS USM — Sigma 50mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art

Another one that didn't make the cut for photo of the week.
I think if I'd put some punctuation at the end of this, it would have been better?
Hello people from tumblr! This photo seems to have become slightly popular, which is nice! Please don't forget to link back to this page if you're reblogging this image (and say hi in the comments below, while you're here)!
With the frenetic pace of modern day life it seems that everyone is always in a rush to be getting along to some other place. Almost like whatever destination you're currently at is just a stepping stone to some other, better place. Which is surely a folly. Sometimes it's nice to just stop what you're doing and appreciate the moment. Or, as Ferris Bueller put it 'Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.' So there.
Made using spraypaint, stencils, text messages from my phone and some water droplets shamelessly stolen from MyDogSighs (and then inexplicably turned upside down) then affixed to a wall with one way security screws. Good luck getting that off.
Cheers
