"abstract geography close up focus"
I got the idea for this photo when scrolling through my photo library. All the square windows lined up so nicely, just begging for some colors. The "tetris bricks" are not too skillfully made, but I liked the idea, so I had to give it a try. This is the second version with more bricks. The building in the picture is the Shanghai World Financial Center located in the Pudong district of Shanghai, China.

on my walk from the hospital to the trainstation I saw this very geometrical fascade and tried some different angles, the sky was mixed with grey patches and white clouds so exposure with the almost white and metalic fascade was a problem. While postprocessing I tried some coloring but then decided to convert it to b&w cause it would have been too similar to my last architecture shot ;-) "shape it" but I think it's a bit similar to this one anyway into the next dimension
See 'Hondsbossche Zeewering: tetris' On Black!

There are two places on the Dutch North Sea coast which are not protected by dunes but by dikes, stemming from the Middle Ages; one is in Zeeland and the other one is between Petten and Camperduin in the province of North Holland, just north of de Schoorlse Duinen . I'm not quite sure why it's called the "Hondsbossche" but Zeewering means Defense against the Sea. Anybody interested in the coastal changes here between 1350 and today should check this animation !
