Guys, I would like to apologise for beeing such a lousy contact! I´ve missed pretty much everything you have uploaded in the last 2 weeks and I´m really sorry for that. I will check your streams asap!
On saturday morning I went on the first testride with my new 6D. A powerful little tool and so far I really like what I´ve seen. Missing the joystick quite a bit but it doesn´t really matter when you need to tilt the lens to focus, right? :-) Freelensing just rules!
Nog steeds worden met grote regelmaat ICNG stellen getest, op uiteenlopende tracjecten in Nederland.
Aangezien Amersfoort, dit weekeinde onbereikbaar was, vanwege grootschalige werkzaamheden, aan de westzijde van het station, werden ook testritten , die anders langs Amersfoort zouden gaan, omgeleid via de Hanzelijn, of over de Utrecht-Arnhem route.
ICNG-B- die in de toekomst op de HSL moet gaan rijden, is nog niet al te vaak te zien geweest op dit soort testritten en al helemaal niet op de lijn Arnhem-Utrecht.
Groot was mijn verrassing, dan ook, dat opeens stel 3313; bezig met zo'n testslag, aan de horizon opdook en net voorbij De Haar Aansluiting kon worden gefotografeerd.
ENGLISH: ICNG sets are still tested on a regular basis, on various routes in the Netherlands.
Since Amersfoort was inaccessible this weekend due to large-scale works, on the west side of the station, test runs, which would otherwise pass through Amersfoort, were also diverted via the Hanze line, or via the Utrecht-Arnhem route.
ICNG-B, which will run on the HSL in the future, has not been seen too often on these kinds of test runs, and certainly not on the Arnhem-Utrecht line.
Great was my surprise, then, that suddenly set 3313; in the process of such a test stroke, appeared on the horizon and could be photographed just past De Haar Connection.

Dropped Himmy off for it's new rear tyre at Manhattons and had an hour and a bit out on the Bear!!

Im Rahmen von Zulassungsfahrten, die im Frühjahr/Sommer 2020 in Österreich stattfanden, war die Stadler Eurodual 159 207 von European Loc Pool für Tests auch bei Lokomotion "zu Gast". Zusammen mit der 139 310 führte sie an diesem Dienstagnachmittag Mitte Juli einen Güterzug vom Brenner nach Kufstein, wo mich das unerwartete Erscheinen der Lok sehr erfreute. Dass die Maschine hier vom Zug ging und die 139 alleine nach Bayern weiterfahren ließ, war großes Glück, da ich so zu einem schönen Portraitbild meiner ersten Eurodual kam, als sie in den südlichen Teil des Kufsteiner Bahnhofs zurückrollte, um dort bereits den nächsten Güterzug in Richtung Brenner zu bespannen. Etwas später in dieser Woche führte die 159 dann auch grenzüberschreitende Züge nach Deutschland. Wäre dies an jenem Tag der Fall gewesen, wäre es lichtbedingt wohl bei nicht wirklich vorzeigbaren Aufnahmen geblieben.
Die seit 2017 von Stadler Rail in Valencia/Spanien gebauten Eurodual-Loks sind sechsachsige Hybridfahrzeuge, die entweder mit Strom oder dieselelektrisch betrieben werden können. Mit 23 Metern Länge und 123 Tonnen Dienstmasse handelt es sich bei den Maschinen um echte "Monster", welche die meisten modernen E-Loks nicht nur hinsichtlich Größe, sondern auch mit ihrer Leistung in den Schatten stellen. Da wäre beispielsweise die gewaltige Anfahrzugkraft von 500 kN, welche selbst jene einer Re 6/6 um ein Vielfaches übertrifft. Auch die höchstmögliche Dauerleistung, die über 6'000 kW im Oberleitungs- und 2'800 kW im Dieselbetrieb beträgt, ist mehr als bemerkenswert. Da mich die Lok aufgrund ihres bulligen Aussehens auch optisch sehr anspricht, freue ich mich, diese Type in naher Zukunft hoffentlich vermehrt auf den Schienen Europas anzutreffen... :-)

Took a Royal Enfield Bear out for a test ride today..
Dropped my Himmy off for a new rear tyre at Manhattons Motorcycles then had an hour and a bit out on the Royal Enfield Bear!!
Took it around town, showing it some sights and of course pausing here at the lovely street art just behind London Road done by Sheffield artist Peachzz...

50(s)miles out with Jill today, we put the soft luggage onto the rear panniers to see how they fit. Then headed out so that Jill could see/feel if they got in her way or stopped her holding on to the pannier rails.
Testride after several updates:
- Paul Mini Moto front
- new stem
- new bar tape
- saddle (will go back to the painted one after refurbished to match the bar tape colour)
- rear rim now the same as front
- all cables + housing adjusted
Bike is ready for the mud season, I'm not
Yea! Got her out on Himmy at last! After a pretty bad night shift and a bit of a lie in.. We got out into the lovely Peak District (with a lot of others!!) to see how being a pillion on Himmy felt. Parked at Rod Side at Hollow Meadows here!
Some of her observations were -
More comfortable than Navi, esp over bumps! Sitting position is slightly higher than Navi and feels better.
Foot pegs are higher and that suits her as well.
The smaller topbox is in the right place to help her feel secure, plus the grab handles behind and to the side of her felt good to hold.
Interestingly there is slightly more room on Himmy for her than on Navi!
She likes the look of Himmy.

Vandaag, 4 oktober 2011, waren er geluidsmeetritten met het nieuwe DDZ materiaal. Stel 7503 maakte hiervoor een aantal slagen tussen Zwolle en Amersfoort.
NSR DDZ 7503 komt al trein 89304 langs Putten op weg naar Amersfoort.
Al rijdend is de uitvoering van dit 'nieuwe' Dubbeldecks materiaal best aardig - in ieder geval goed te onderscheiden als DDZ ;)
Btje rare lichtomstandigheden waardoor het stel erg glimt ...

Today, 4th of October, the new Dutch Dubbeldecker material, called DDZ, was taken for testrides for sound measurements. DDZ EMU 7503 made a couple of rides from Amersfoort to Zwolle viceversa.
NSR DDZ 7503 passes Putten on a testrun from Zwolle to Amersfoort.
DDZ is the new Dubble Decker coach strategy of NSR - only 4 and 6 car trains with a mDDM motorcar which resembles a DDM driving car with electric motors in the lower part and a single passenger deck on top - no more push-pull combinations with an Eloc type 1700.
Inside a new Zone concept will be implemented (the Z in DDZ) - working/silence areas are one part of the concept.
NSR DDZ 7503 passes Putten as train 89304 from Zwolle to Amersfoort.

I think it enjoyed the mini tour and I enjoyed taking it..!
Lovely bike the new Himalayan, quick, responsive, fast, feels lighter, very stable at low speed and filtering. Side stand is naff! needs making taller.
But I am not swapping out my Himmy at the moment!!

With all parts back together, the testride revealed succes!

No scraping noises at any speed! At least... Until 60KM/h that is...
I didn't dare going faster because well...
When we had the clutch cable off in order to change the gearbox, it also jumped off the pedal... I think we have somehow not mounted it back properly, because my clutch was totally fine before... And now it seems to not fully engage... It slips like a madmen...
It's not manually adjustable like in my BX... According to the Haynes manual, it's "self adjusting"... Whatever the practical use of that is... It's certainly not doing that...
I'm guessing I somehow didn't put it back correctly at the pedal, and it's in there too deep somehow. It's not like you have any space to work with under the dashboard there... You have to do this blindly...
At the gearbox's end at least, there is nothing to improve or adjust... So well, we're nearly there! Just one tiny pickle left to resolve and then I should have my Barn back on the road =D
And well, it should be because sunday I'll have to part with the C4 again... My two weeks with it are up... =( My friend needs it back!

Nog even terug naar donderdag 4 oktober - stel 4804 staat ongeveer 30 minuten onder de kap van Station Lelystad ..... meerdere mogelijkheden om het stel te fotograferen.
NSH V250 stel 4804 heeft zn eerste testrit Lelystad - Zwolle Rangeer voltooid en is binnen gelopen op spoor 1 in Station Lelystad. Enige tijd later kwamen de mcn naar deze kant van het stel en werd gevraagd of ik de front-seinen wel aan wilde zeker - kon nog kiezen ook ... doe maar LED .
Zodoende was de 4804 ook nog te platen met de normale front-seinen aan.

For the 3th and 4th of october testrides where announced with a NSHispeed V250 - on the 4th they are actually held.
Time to take a good look at this newest train of NSHispeed, due to the late hours it had to be done on Lelystad Station - where else so late in the evening ;)
On 4th of october - V250 4804 stands on Lelystad Station for about 30 minutes , enough time for more photos.
NSH V250 4804 just entered at platform 1 of Lelystad Station after completion of the first ride from Lelystad to Zwolle Yard vv.
After arrival of the drivers on this side of the train i was asked if i wanted the head-lights on - yep, which ones - i choose the LED ;)
So the V250 4804 could be put on camera with the head-lights on.

Voor woensdag 3 en donderdag 4 oktober waren er proefritten met een NSHispeed V250 gemeld - op 4 oktober werden ze ook echt gehouden.
Eens tijd om deze nieuwste telg in het NSH pakket eens onder de loep te nemen en wel op Station Lelystad - waar anders zo laat op de avond ;)
De verkenning gaat van close naar wide, eerst nog met de rode led lichten, later met de witte .....

Het hele stel op spoor 1 onder de kap van station Lelystad , nu met spoor 2 en 3 erbij ....

The survey takes place from close to wide, at first with the red tail LED lights, later with the white ones .....

The complete V250 on the hood of Lelystad Station - now with platform 2 and 3 also in sight ....
Had a test ride on this Zero SR/f electric motorbike..
