This is what happens when you get out of work late and there is no daylight left for test shots. Bathroom mirror selfies for the win!
This is Fuji Pro 400H.
RAW conversion of this pic, brought the exposure up a tad to compensate for my over-zealous use of high F-stop.
Test runs continue with Class 701 units on the Bournemouth main line, but still no firm idea when they will enter service. Here 701010 passes Christchurch on a run from Eastleigh to Bournemouth via a run round at Basingstoke on the 4 February 2023. Grotty weather conditions, but the new Z30 coped just fine and works well at higher ISO settings.

As part of our Wonderbot project, I am building a small puppet theater in my studio, to experiment with poetic robots and interactive storytelling. Before building out a permanent framework, I am testing a few ideas, to best combine physical objects with digital images and sounds. In this test, the projector is pointing down from the ceiling so that characters can stand in front of the projected image without blocking it. With the projector about five feet away from the back wall, it can beam a backdrop that’s about 4 feet wide by 3 feet high.
We are creating a short story around Violet and Indigo, two ‘wonder ducks’ created by Natalina, which we’ve turned into 'poetic robots’. We’re now starting to write a loose script to guide their interactions, with dialog, music, sound effects, props and backdrops. We hope this fairy tale will inspire which features to give these duckbots (e.g.: respond to each other’s calls, approach or avoid one another). Our goal is to capture the best scenes on video and edit it all together into a compelling story at the end of this project. I can’t wait to see how far we can go with this.

I haven't seen many other Test Track photos on here so while walking past the long line, i noticed the lighting above. I had this great idea to create the starburst effect through my lens. It looks like it worked pretty well!
I'm off to have a blood test later, might suggest my illness back in April was all hypochondria, or was indeed Covid!
The phone shows the appointment you get for an active infection test at one of the drive throughs; it was indeed efficient, once the service had been set up (testing wasn't available when I was actually ill and should have had it, but I was tested a couple of weeks later when I was unwell again). You can see I made the appointment at 0850, the time for the test was 0920 and I was out of the centre by 0930. The blood test however requires a paper form!! Though the venesection appointment was online via Swiftqueue.
So if you need a swab for active infection, the system eventually set up seems to work well (I did get the result promptly), and I guess we'll pretty well all have access to the antibody test before long.
The swab test looks for evidence of viral particles, the antibody test looks for the body's protective response some time later, when the virus itself should have been eliminated. Experience with other viral antibodies shows that in some cases the antibody is a sign of good immunity, in others only partial immunity, and additionally while some antibodies can be persistent for years, the levels of others drop over a few months. We don't yet know how good a marker of immunity a positive antibody test is for the current coronavirus.

Testing a MTO 500 Grand Prix lens for the first time.
Handheld since I missed the quick release plate of tripod, but most images came out spot on and sharp.
