Did a lighting test for an idea, and didn't have anyone to stand-in for me, so I had to do it myself. Six strobes, various kinds (3 alien bee, 2 JTL, 1 Sunpak 120j) I have enough strobes for four rows, but not enough slaves to trigger some of the lights, so I had to settle on six lights.
I like the effect, and will like it even more when I have a handsome/beautiful model in front of the lights instead of, erm, me.
These are my two favorite images from a little photoshoot I did in my dorm room today. Playing around with my e-cig and some cinematic looking scenes. Also I cleared up my floor and moved my drumset in anticipation for my friend who isvisiting this weekend and is bringing a little over 3k points worth of Eldar.
Some of my books, useful test for a new camera Fuji XT-5. So far, so good. Very familiar feel to it and the image quality for 40Mp seems excellent.
Normally I wouldn't post something straight out of the camera. Just got the Nikon P900 so this is the first video that I shot testing the zoom lens from 2000mm to 35mm. This was handheld so I didn't expect anything great. Definitely need a tripod when shooting distance.
Glued up a fork, faced & reamed the HT, crown race seat, and ST, then flung a headset, seatpost, and saddle onto it and took it for a short brakeless ride up and down the street to see if it would explode.
Spoiler: it didn't.
It's got at least 75mm of BB drop, which is a lot for 650b. I might have to melt off the seatstays and use the 2×4 of gentle adjustment to bend the seatstays down 10mm, then make another fork with matching extra A-C, but I'll mull it over for a while first (the fork is a nice light one that's a close fit on a 42mm tire, so I may want to get a larger crown and pull some more side-to-side clearance for paranoia's sake nevertheless.)
