The prime testing procedure that takes place in a medical laboratory is blood sample testing. So I was feeling a bit bored, and at the same time, I wanted to test out my freshly made "Solar Lantern".
Anyways I saw some online instruct-ables on how to build a cool solar light. So I went to ikea and bought a mason jar, and borrowed the electronic parts, and put em all together.....and voila! A solar lantern.
Anyways, for the real test. I wanted to see what the difference between using a skylight filter on the amount of light it actually blocks. When I first bought my camera a while back ago, I was naive and didn't know better. The Black's employee convinced me that I needed a skylight filter to protect all my fancy lens from getting scratched. So I bought 2 OPTEX SKYLIGHT FILTERS (52mm). They were $14.99. Then I recently read an article online that cheapo filters (this one), actually blocks out a lot of light.... but how much worse?
So, shown here are 2 different photos. One WITH the filter (top), and one WITHOUT the filter (bottom).
Can you see a difference in the amount of good light that gets filtered out? These are identical exposure values for both shot, and haven't been edited in any way. Also note the reduction in sharpness.... I'm sure as hell not using these craptacular filters anymore.

Our Taunus were improved a lot in its structure and brakes and other components. They were little tanks indeed.
Leica M9 with a Leica Visoflex 3 and the original 200mm f/4.5 Telyt lens @ f/4.5. The original 200mm Telyt was the first true telephoto lens made for the Leica. This is one of my first test shots, and I think it's going to be an interesting lens to play with. The minimum distance is 300cm, or nearly 10 feet. The copy I just purchased includes the lens hood.

This was a sample roll through a new/old camera, and as is typical from such an old camera it was off to the repair tech afterwards.
Testing out my new and Humble FinePix AV150. a DSLR is just too bulky to keep around for everyday use :)

testing some actions from Alex- Coffee Sauce. Can't remeber what combo this was- think citrus and b/w? Trying to figure out how to use them the right way. haven't taken any photos yet this week, so I guess i'll just play with old ones! thanks alex for something to do :)
More than 60 participants tested their endurance during the Team APG Army Birthday Triathlon held at APG North (Aberdeen) June 23.
The early-morning event included a 6.5 mile bike ride, a 300-yard swim, and a 2.5 mile run. The APG Garrison Commander, Col. Robert Phillips III , welcomed the participants to the Triathlon. The event, he said, is a continued celebration of the Army birthday, that was held June 14.
